Good potential! I agree that everything needs more explanation, and I suggest trying to differentiate from desktop tower defense a bit more. Maybe have a thing that you're trying to defend?
Hit detection is a little touchy - I was "hit" a few times when I was sure I was clear. Also, it seems as if you can continue on to the next level just by not dying - I stood in place and let the timer run out.
I hate pixel hunts! There's no way I would have bothered to solve this without the walkthrough. The artwork is good though, and the story amusing. On the whole, though, just annoyed me.
Great game. Simple but addictive gameplay, great music. Dealing with evil gluefos reminded me of dodgeball. It would be nice if the game recognized when your mouse goes off the screen and pauses instead of continuing. Also, maybe consider having the flung orbs gradually lose speed rather than turning "safe" whenever they go off the screen - even if you're right next to the edge! Also cool would be the ability to "catch" an orb flung at you by an evil.
Good effort on the whole - nice concept and graphics. I second (third?) the issue about difficulty in placing the gears. Also, if there is a panel across the bottom of the screen and you drop a gear you can't see where it fell or what size gear you're pointing at. 3/5 with potential for 4 or 5.
Ok, but not great. Not many puzzles, and the ones that were included were not particularly interesting or challenging. Escape games aren't all known for their plots, but this one seemed particularly contrived.
Hitting the ball with the back of your racket should bounce it toward your side, not your opponent. Also, once I hit the ball twice in a row and the second time it bounced toward my side, I assume thats a glitch.
Gold on last level tip: flamethrower! Don't worry too much about getting hit - just pick up medpacks on your way through. Then stand inside the boss - behind the cockpit, and flame/mortar him to death. You'll take hits but the arm can't block and his flamethrowers can't hit you there.
