@heroekrem A basic understanding of Cartesian planes is pretty much common knowledge. It makes you as much of a mathematician as knowing what an atom is makes you a physicist.
I see the artistic heart of the previous game is alive and well, with awesome puzzles, satisfying platforming and absolutely shameless pandering. The greatest mystery of the series so far- how she manages to stay upright- has finally been revealed, with the reveal of back weight to counteract her excess front weight.
Never underestimate the power of scrolls and wands. I'd suggest getting scrolls or wands every time you get a wish, as even one use can save your life or totally change the course of a battle, and you get 3 scrolls or a wand with several charges for every wish. Confusion and fear I found the most useful, but there are few (possibly no?) types that are useless. Meanwhile wishing for equipment almost always ends in disappointment.
@Xslaughter I can't see how its a luck-based game. Luck's only involved if you keep restarting hoping for a game where you don't need to jump at all, which is completely not necessary and reflects your own lack of ability more than anything.
@OwariNeko I like having the blank spaces, as it gives me some indication as to which hexes I've solved and which ones I haven't yet. Otherwise it'd be easy to confuse an unsolved hex with a hex solved to 1, or vice versa, which is frustrating.
I can't figure out how to approach these from a logical perspective. I always feel like I'm just arbitrarily arranging the pieces in ways that look possible and hoping for the best rather than actually using any process to figure anything out. It's like trying to work out Sudoku by just picking a choice at random every time you hit a square you can't immediately figure out. Does anyone have any actual technique they use that they're willing to share?
@unknownada Those games got badged so that they could be used for this week's Kongpanion! @Everyone struggling with 25: As long as you make sure it doesn't ever touch the left or right side, it shouldn't be too difficult. Where you hit it with the paddle determines its direction, so try to hit it with the middle unless you have to move it away from an edge.
@militon It depends on if you define a side as being straight or if a curve counts as a side. If we limit ourselves to the first definition (polygons only), a perfect circle is impossible, but as the number of sides approaches infinity we get closer to a circle. But for the purposes of this game it's easier and more intuitive to just say that a side can be curved.
Max out your engine. It's tempting to get handling for the tight corners, but the upgrades are really unbalanced and handling actually makes very little difference to your car- but extra acceleration is invaluable. Even though you'll have to decelerate around corners slightly more, you'll pick your speed back up again far faster.
The horizontal bars are really frustrating at first, but once you've dodged a couple you get the hang of spotting them in your peripherals and it gets way easier. So when you start getting frustrated just bear with it and try to avoid leaving salty messages in the comments section.
@KainXinth Someone can be belligerent without realising they're being belligerent. Comments like "WHAT were you on when you wrote this?" and "This is agony for anyone who isn't suffering from severe head trauma," just to name a couple aren't doing you any favours. I don't think you're as calm as you think you are. And the fact you're returning again and again to reply to comments makes me feel pretty certain in that assessment.
It doesn't seem to be letting me upgrade my barracks to make golems, even though I have far more than enough resources. Not to worry, though, because Warriors are extremely overpowered and I can win the whole game by just spamming them.
Getting a very Edgar-Allan-Poe vibe from this. Especially with the eyeless black cat walled in the cellar and all the crows. Excellent point-and-click. The soundtrack is particularly good (and is probably responsible for about half of the suspense). Make sure to play with earphones.
"You scored 6 goals in a row last game! Care to share how you're able to aim so well in such a short span of time with your fans?" "Well, you see, it's all down to my ability to FREEZE TIME every time I take a shot."
