I don't understand what everyone's complaining about with the grinding. I was able to complete it only having to retry the second-to-last 3 levels 3 times each- not too bad. As long as you're smart about when you use your abilities and which units you pick, you should be fine. Remember it's better to have lots of units still alive than lots of abilities left over, so pull out your big guns early and often. By the end of the game your shield should be powerful enough to allow you to clear a whole wave perfectly without using any other abilities, and you can use it approx. twice.
Don't bother getting stamina at all. If your speed's high enough, you'll never run out no matter how low it is. I finished the premiere league with mine at 200. Focus on speed and reactions, as they're the quickest and have the biggest impact on how well you do in races.
I really think this would be much more fun if the guards had set patrol paths, or at least patrol areas. Otherwise this becomes the game of "wait for a whole minute in one spot and hope they walk the wrong way."
A personal bugbear of mine is when people say that they have to remove the bullet from a wound. No, you do not! Since it doesn't have a handle, it's usually perfectly fine just to leave it in. It COULD get infected, but removing it is more likely to give you an infection than leaving it in, and it stops the blood. You also don't want to cause further damage with surgery. Lots of people still have bullets in their bodies, and in a case where the patient is likely to die of blood loss, removing the bullet should be the last thing on anyone's mind.
That being said, love the series, minor medical inaccuracies aside!
We admit that we lack of medical experience, so we just went with this kind of stereotype; we really appreciated your explanation, and we assure you that we'll spend more research time, in the future, to avoid such a mistake! Thank you for your help, it will let us improve in the future; above all, we're glad you liked the game nonetheless! :) Thank you again and keep having fun!
The UI would be alright if this was just on a website by itself, not embedded (Improbable Island-style)... but I don't think it's really designed for Kongregate. Two scroll bars is a pain to use. It might need a UI redesign if you want it here.
@VegladeX It's impossible to kill Captain Connell. The point is that Captain Connell is to you what you are to the fish. He's the hunter, and you're the prey, in an unfair fight with no way to defend yourself. I'm fairly sure the words at the end are said by Captain Connell to you.
I think people are exaggerating the amount of luck in this game. I've managed to complete the hard badge twice so far without too much difficulty. You do have steering rockets on the first day, you know.
I was about to get the hard badge and I pressed C instead of X. I'm not sure which I hate more right now- the game or myself. Embarrassing failures aside, it's still a fun if quick game.
If you have the highest level band and launcher, you can get to space by dragging straight down and then doing nothing. An emergency launcher just in case never hurts either. Don't be too afraid to use your launchers- it's better to use them to keep yourself high than it is to save you from the ground, since you'll get a much better multiplier. This is less luck-based than the sequel, which is nice.
