took me way too long to figure out more food = more population increase, i spent a majority of the game keeping food income just above starvation levels keeping the population stagnant ~_~ oh well
just in case this stumped anybody like it did me, when you get to the puzzle with the 3 colored circles, there are 3 items you can gain from this puzzle, not just 1, i assumed i was supposed to figure out what the middle symbal up top was then find the color for that, but you also need to put in the colors for the left and right, as well as make the top symbal match the symbals on the left and right
ive put all my points into exp boost, and sometimes when i finish a battle one of my monsters will get 2 levels, others will only get like 33% of a level, and most of the time i only get like 5% or less of a level on repeated levels
i wish level grinding wasn't so difficult and random, if i have all my points into exp boost i should be able to grind stages near current and get like 5-10 levels higher than monsters around me so i can actually stand up to the stronger matches instead of losing over and over
i guess i could always train other monsters, but i don't really want to test all the different monsters until i get some good ones for the area im in, i should be able to beat the game with the first 5 monsters i got
not saying the game is terrible, im just feeling some mid game aggrivation on floor 5~ and it seems like im going to have to grind a lot more to progress
in level 3-2 its possible to get stuck at the south most battle npc, after you win a battle with him you are locked in with the debris, the only way to escape is to lose a battle with him which sucks
my bad i was looking for a pop of 4, like "more than 3" because thats what 3> makes me read, but i figured out it should be 3 or more, so basically just grab a pop 3
i somehow got into kingslys chamber using a float character and not a 2x(jump i assume) character which i don't have yet, i did save kingsly but i was working on killing hamburgers :< oh well, not like its that hard to re-kill a couple hamburgers
very nice balance in dificulty and upgrades, would have liked a last boss tank, and maybe some more diversity in turrets and snipers, but i liked it, the turrets were reserved for guarding your base and didn't do all the work for you(which is usually how i like to use turrets in games, but it really works well in this game)
4.5/5
tips, buy the uzi + 1 mechanic early on, then focus on building up 1 turret (left or right) to about level 8, then you can leave it to do all the work on double sided waves while focusing on the other team, keep a level 1-2 turret on the side you want to cover yourself, then max the stats on the handgun and uzi while continously upgrading the turets, you should not need more than 1 mechanic to repair slight damage and tower upgrades are not neccisary
why is there no continue after the game ends? i beat the game with only the magnum and uzi with max turrets, i wanted to buy and upgrade the mp5 next
could have used more waves, the "Boss" made me think "holy shit look at that monster" but i didn't think "oh wow this must be the boss", i was surprised when it ended so quickly
i never used the stand on the tower feature, too busy running around collectin drops, would be nice if the tower upgrades increased not only hp, but vision radius so if its fully upgraded you can see the full screen from left to right(if you point your mouse in that direction) and maybe add recon cats who you can buy to go and collect drops for you so you can be more of a sargent and less of a 1 cat army, the idea is cool but the screen seems far too wide to have to run back and forth endlessly in, 4/5 over all
