You know you aren't really talking to a member of the "music crowd" when "Classic" means "Rock n Roll" and the only other 4 "styles" are more or less the same thing...
Cube Colossus, a story about space teens in a war vessel whose first language is obviously not english, but everyone seems intent on speaking it exclusively anyway.
Morality: This is far from being the worst offender I've seen, but devs, seriously, how hard is it to run your texts and dialogs by a spell check or a native speaker you might know of on the internet?
Is it just me or is salvation bugged and plain doesn't work?
Also (since around the time I got salvation, I think) every new squad member I pick starts at full health, then one second later is at half and another second after that has only a single health bar remaining. Keeping squad members can be tricky under these circumstances...
Hmm... I feel like yesterday, when I left, I hadn't finished the singleplayer campaign, but today there seems to be no SP left at all. Is there a way to check wether or not I've finished the thing, a log of past games, something? Thanks!
2) For fellow players: Max the backpack first; Mags are useful in the early game, but totally useless in the late game, level 5 is enough; Gun body is rather lame-ish; Bullets are invaluable and should be one of the first things to be maxed; Armor is also very usefule, but no need to max it early; Gun cannon is expensive and might seem pretty lame at first, but it starts rocking out around lv5. Max it early, along with bullets; Grenades are awesome in the early game, but in the late game they barely deal ~10-20% damage to most enemies when maxed. Still, they hit everything on screen so they are a nice supplement to your arsenal; Health packs are nice to have, upgrading the mis worth it in the late game too; EMP might seem lame at first, but once you upgrade them a bit (lv5), they are an invaluable tool to survive late game massive waves. EMP upgrade seem to influence not only cooldown, but also duration.
Nice game, I rarely play so long past achievements (made it to wave 110 and just maxed everything), good job! A few comments:
1) There seems to be a bug with the pricing of level 10 grenades, health packs and EMPs (they are free).
As a suggestion, maybe darken the edges of an unchangeable square, for exemple Xs around a 0 or the Xs and colours from using an hint...
Xs for different colour would be cool too. Sometimes I find myself wanting to mark "there absolutely cannot be a yellow here", but maybe there'll be a black or something later on...
@ 8guru8: To defeat the flying dutchman, have 3 of the top-right most ship, upgrade the damage and life (board), and, when fighting the dutchman, aim board (cost 20 AP) with dynamite. I also had maxed everything save for cargo with achievements...
Would have been a 4-5, but sadly this game seems to have a special relationship with lag. Plus, it wouldn't let me save my injured companion whatever I tried, until I got sluggeg by 20+ zombies falling on my head from the ceiling (for the 3rd time). So I gave it a 2.
More comments:
5) Accountants are really awesome, because not only do they substantially raise each click's pay, but they do so for every employee. In contrast, hiring new workers after a certain point (50? 100?) wasn't as cost effective, as was upgrading their offices or promoting them (much costier). And you only need so many supervisors.
6) Something should also be done about research. You can do perfectly well all the way through the thing with about 4 researchers. Research also comes in way too fast in the beginning, you can't afford anything in the early stages...
7) You need to either be able to destroy an office that has employee (firing them), either be able to un-upgrade offices, because moving employees is a pain and misclicks caused me to have many workers or accountants in janitor closets and such pointless office spaces...
Would be awesome, but:
1) Is kinda laggy, which creates frustration and misclicks;
2) You really need other ways to select employees. Suggestions include either by clicking their desk or preferably through a menu;
3) Janitor really need to clean faster. I was at the point that there were more janitor than office rooms, they had janitor work shop (top level janitor office) and they were promoted, and they still couldn't clean it all in one night. And I had tubes, so elevators are not the issue here.
4) Decorations and HRs seemed rather pointless, as to me having a good morale was really easy.
