You know what should be an energy-based upgrade? Max energy. It'd be a great idea. Lets you waste less energy when you're taking a long break. It's not like it'd ever lead to anyone having no use at all for buying gems since they still wouldn't really get energy any faster.
Well it's at least not a total copy of My First Quantum Translocator, but it's so blatantly similar that it might as well be. You have the same main character even.
I like it... but I mean... I kill 14 people, and my house is open for sale, and I don't kill anyone, and I get a sign saying "Abandon all hope ye who enter here"? How exactly does that work?
The only problem is that there's just way too huge of a gap between easy and hard mode. Easy mode is a total cakewalk while hard mode is almost impossible until you get enough upgrades. It'd be nice to have a mode in between the two.
It's not too bad... but I mean, half the difficulty comes from the awkward controls, and the other half is mostly from bad timing. Those are two very problematic things... I can't really give it more than a 3/5.
Yay! It's finally here! I was hoping this one would come to Kongregate. Loved playing this one on Newgrounds, and I certainly enjoy it here as well. This is a serious retro game, you put yourself down to all the limits the old games had to prove that you could provide a fun experience just as much as they could, and you definitely succeeded. Great job with this one! The only thing is that it's really kind of weird to have such a lack of a penalty for dying in an old-style game, but I suppose that's quite necessary for this one, and it works out very well.
In terms of introducing Unity, I'd say you did a damn good job, and I can't wait to see what this brings to Kongregate. That being said, in terms of a game, it's lacking a little bit. No way to make your character put his gun away and start running (it just happens after a certain amount of time), the mouse is very sensitive, and it's definitely quite small for any sort of game. Still, cool beans! I'll give it a 4/5!
I would definitely say this is the best game Adult Swim has made since Death Vegas, and it's great in a totally different way too. I'm impressed. Gotta give it a 5/5!
Love it, but I can't really figure out how you get from the info to the solution on the grid of stone keys... I should hopefully figure it out, but I feel disappointed (more in myself) that I had to ask for help there...
Very fun as usual. Don't panic if you're having trouble, just use a bit of process of elimination to figure out the order of things. As a general rule, if both the top and the bottom are spiked, you should work from the top down.
Honestly, I like it pretty well, but the more I play through, the more I get the feeling the Dev didn't play the game himself. That's /not/ a good impression to make. Maybe once I get far enough I'll come across something I really like or think was really well done and change my mind, but for now I just can't give it more than a 3/5.
I have to say I like this game, it's like Upgrade Complete done right, but there's a few problems in the way, such as the insane levels of annoying that the homing enemies contain, and the fact that after beating the last level, I went back to the main menu, then to the slots to find that my save file only recorded the last gun I made/purchased, which was a cruddy homing gun, so now I'm down one gun with maxed out speed and power, and one gun with maxed out area and power. I'm not the sort that'll 1 star for a bug like that, but really, there seems to be a problem with custom guns not saving right, so yeah, fix that. 'till then, I'll give it a 4/5, but I'd like to see it with a 5/5, so please, please do fix this.
It was nice and fun, and certainly had a pretty nice message, but there were a few flaws in execution. Especially the music... the music just sounded too cluttered, and ended up giving me a headache when I tried finding a melody to it.
Is my computer just not lagging enough, or is the world-flipping /supposed/ to force you to be stationary until you touch the ground? Because I can't seem to progress past area 5.
This game really is humorous, and I really like what you did. The destructible walls may seem like a small thing, but it's really a nice touch, and the recoil physics are great. I love what you guys did here, gotta give it a 5/5
