For everybody thinking it's too hard: the hardest stage (on hard) is the third one: after many tries, when I finally got it, I passed every other stage with ~20 more doeos than needed.
How to combo farm: On the pirate cove, inside the sunken ship, combo on the respawning bats. When they respawn the combo count does NOT reset, so kill them again and continue your combo.
I just "broke" through the last wall... I chilli bombed at the safe, and got so fast I glitched through the End of Candy Land. Now I'm at max speed, not getting slower, even while bouncing on the floor. Reeeeally glitchy.
Please, could you fix the "little secret"? You can't kill the boss, the enemies get speedier as time passes, they glitch through walls after one point, timer goes into the negatives, there's no cap to number of enemies which causes massive lag when you die, you never lose your fire power, ...
Remember that falling before jumping lets you jump further, but lower. On crosstrianglecross I suggest taking the speed up, then the clock, then the other jump. On crosscrosscross I suggest using two jumps to reach the last speed up and the last one to go back to the platform you last jumped, then proceding to the little ledge right under the target (and then going for the win).
Awesome game, but it's too easy and short. I think I'm on my 4th of 5th playthrough and I'm already the best possible. What's up with not being able to max out damage, fire rate and speed together? And why no extra lives drop when you have 4 or more? Anyway, it's a really good game, 5/5.
Anti-air pet+mist towers at locations where they can hit every enemy, with an occasional boulder tower=win, except for the third to last level (where the entire level is bifurcated). For that one use spear towers instead of boulder. For skills, independent of which strategey you're using, focus on money skill, gems skill and mana skill, the others are useless. And remember to use ice traps for the bosses, and rarely, poison traps on leaks (usually snakes).
This hard isn't thaaat hard. iirc, if you just keep on splashing and making 360 on the ships they die really quick. Try not to go underwater until late game, when your health starts depleting fast: you should have a good stock of healing items down there at that point.
For the "Killing Blow" achievement, make the enemies fall with the Desert Wind spell. For the "Cursed Flesh", remember that you have to kill 6 CURSED enemies with the Locust. That means you have to CURSE the enemies before killing them.
Kongregate versus Kongregate matches are disabled. To get the badges you need someone playing on other site, even if it is yourself. So if you don't have the patience to wait for opponents, open it on newgrounds or whatever and you'll probably play against yourself.
Driver License: Upgrade mainly steering (and thus tires), but also get some speed and acceleration. Not too much though, only get what you can handle. This one IS THE hardest medal, so don't get frustrated after some failed attempts. Chopper's Mania: Just try not to die. Get some speed (as much as you can handle, again), steering (and thus tires) and get a better bumper so you don't die too easily. This is the second hardest medal, so don't forfeit so easily in this one! I Will Survive: Go slow and you'll get it. Only get bumper and tires, spending what's left on steering. Just let the cop cars go ahead of you.
Richest Man: The bigger the pile, the better. Get some nice steering (that needs some good tires) so you can lose less coins, and a bit of speed so you can find more coins. Hot Pursuit: Total focus on the helicopters. They award you lots of points (800 each to be exact). Also don't mind the cars, you get more points by letting them fall behind than killing them. Crazy Jumper: Upgrade more steering and tires, in this order. It's a bit luck based, since you can't get any obstacles right in front of the boards, but just don't waste any and you'll be allright.
Just a reminder: Challenges can get way easier if you farm for achievements! Each achievement you complete awards you with more 300 for the challenges! Getting all achievements lets you start challenge mode with 7.2k, which is really nice (though I don't recomend trying the Gangster Corp achievement too hard. The others are really easy to get, or just a bit grindy).
Adding to Visuna's comment: REMEMBER YOUR SHELL SHIELD SKILL ON THE LAST BOSS!!! You just shouldn't use the shell shield skill against a boss when it's not invulnerable, that is, on all the other bosses. If you forgot how to use your shell, press the arrow key corresponding to the gravity (like, if the gravity is normal (down) you press down to hide). Use it in every moment on the battle except for when the boss is vulnerable (duh). Really, using it makes it another really easy boss. Indeed, the only boss I found difficult was the 3rd (but that was probably messing up gravity changes because was trying to aim the weapon at the same time...).
How to win in 4 easy steps: 1)Go Archer (overpowered), Normal. 2)Ally with the Guardians (no boss at final cave) and Mercenaries (so you can have a use for your money (more allies)) 3)Use the Tiger Rune for moving when not attacking, the Stone Rune for general fighting and the Wind Rune when you want to unleash your anger (then go back to Stone after using the space bar) 4)You don't need to grind, just don't flee from battles.
This game does have a skill factor, for getting past guards, but "It's more time-consuming than it is difficult", and this time-consuming means extremely luck based, thus it have extreme frustration levels because of the ridiculous amount of runs you must make at later levels o get an ultimate. Horrible imp badge, gregismojo.
