So I restarted the game and made it to the Tree of Death again. I'm happy to report that the bug didn't surface again and I was able to complete the game!
Okay, so I talk to the Tree of Death, and then I lose the ability to click? What the hell?
I've reloaded several times and it happens each time. I'm running Firefox on Windows, if that matters.
Hmm, this is the first time I've heard about this problem. What's weird is that there is no chapter change after the Tree, all you get is the seed in your inventory. Off the top of my head, you can try enabling all the cookies in you browser and maybe disabling max security (if you have it on) in your browser.
You know, I wanted to like this game. The concept is kinda cool, and the music is nice. However, the obscenely high ball count along with the random ball movement is just pissing me off too much. Once you click, you're left to the mercy of the balls. If you're lucky to get down to say, 8 left, they're almost always in the wrong positions. Furthermore, you often find yourself getting screwed by the balls just diddling around and BARELY missing an explosion as it shrinks, screwing over your run.
I just love how my nude man tells me I can't backpedal...at the very end of area six. Gee thanks, buddy. I had NO idea until you decide to speak up.
Yeah, it took me enough patience to finish this game once. I'll probably never come back to try to earn the hard badge.
My only complaint is that if you restart a level when you're providing partial power to a ship, the sound effect for the ship loops endlessly unless you go back to level select. Not even muting sound effects works. It's a minor annoyance at best, though.
I think it would be nice if you could reconfigure the controls to allow the keyboard to be used to turn and shoot. With a laptop and touchpad it's not really possible to move and change your aim at the same time. Sure, I could get a USB mouse, but I really don't want to use one just for this game.
Whew! Glad to hear it!
