I finally beat it on harder! I was lucky enough to be close to two labs and otherwise useful buildings. The evil graveyard was in the top corner of the map, and it was the first corner I reclaimed. A few churches and bars next to each other in that corner, along with plenty of farms was more than enough for me to get happiness up enough.
Honestly, even them I'm kinda lucky I only had a few riots and strikes.
Wait...doesn't a "New Game +" usually carry over your upgrades? You mean to tell me I have to buy them all over again, as my money is the only thing that transferred?! D:<
I've managed to stumble across a rather unusual bug in the game. If you hit a save area and almost immediately die, you don't seem to reform properly, and can move forward in an invincible set of scattered pixels that can even go past the spikes at the very end. You can't actually seem to get the game completion badge this way, but you can move about quite freely.
*hits a zombie on the third hole of the first course and bounces pretty far back on tee shot*
*hits a zombie immediately after releasing 2nd shot, getting knocked back even further*
Seriously, game? (This is coming off of a hole-in-one on the second hole, mind you.)
I just completed the hard achievement by completing it in the 18th day.
You really have to know how to optimize your money gaining abilities, both by having good runs and by getting as many achievements as possible about halfway through in as short amount of time as possible. I should also note that I had about $5000 extra bucks because I hit the speed achievement on the last day because I wanted to make sure I could buy full fuel for the very last day. XD
Despite the self-purported difficulty of each achievement, the most difficult was "Bourgeoisie." Stupid geese and aircraft. It was the second to last achievement a few games before the 25th. I'm just lucky that you're able to reset upgrades, especially that damned homing beacon.
