An interesting game. I like it. Theres one thing that bugs me though. At the countdown when the stage starts, there is a *ding* and it says go! But the time doesn't actually start counting down, and you can't eat until a good second after that beep. Change it so the time starts on the beep and i'll be a happy man.
I think you should add another mode with no move limit, but more bombs, maybe with a shorter fuse. I didn't feel satisfied with this game because it felt futile to me that sooner or later i would run out of moves.
Once again, i love the artwork, but i struggled to understand what was going on. In the future, perhaps a small amount of narrative inbetween certain scenes would help improve your games.
A good start to what could become a great series. I know the point of the emptiness was to show the vastness of the planet and how barren it was, but it conflicted with the interest of the player. It was hard to stay engaged. Also, i would suggest a couple more upgrades scattered around. For instance, another gun upgrade (since the gun we start with is overpowered, perhaps make it a slow firing one at first that later upgrades to a machine gun?), also maybe an upgrade that helps the jetpack work underwater instead of it being able to straight away. The final boss could use a health bar too. I was firing for ages at the little pyramid thing instead of his sheild, in the end i don't know which was his weak point.
Very good tribute to the days when platformers were actually difficult XD. My favourite weapon was the bow and arrow. Also, is it just me or is the reaper much more difficult than the final boss?
I'd like to see a wider variety of enemies. I feel like i have to force myself to play through 6 levels to get to the boss battles. Games shouldn't be like that. Instead of the weapons we unlock randomly dropping, give us the choice of which one to use permanently, since the starting gun sucks. Also, 8-way aiming is the work of satan.
Great game greg! I love the idea and i love the fact that you took your own personal time to make something so awesome. I especially like the fact that all the endings are connected, and it's like piecing together a jigsaw puzzle. And to everyone else, the game saves your endings. So if you get a bit bored with it, come back later!
I can't get the waltzing ma achievement. I've pressed the tilde button about 100 times but it's just not registering. It's my final achievement tooo!!! ARGH!
A great game overall, but i got a little overwhelmed when the "none" and "all" parts were introduced, which made me quit. I found it a little too complicated and difficult to grasp. I'm sure other people liked those features though. You can't please everyone!
This game seems to be aimed at children but i see two problems. The first is that even though its not as complicated as protector, its still way too complicated for a child to find engaging. Get rid of anything that isnt absolutely necessary, such as the item system. The second is that when you kill most of the enemies, piles of bones and blood are thrown out, with no option to turn this feature off. What parent would expose their children to that?
I don't know why this has such a high rating. Blindly combining elements isn't much fun at all, especially once you have over 100 of them. It would be MUCH better if we could see a list of all the elements from the beginning, then perhaps we would be able to make educated decisions as opposed to attempting to create the final element with over 6,500 combinations possible.
