Nice game and music. Some of the completion percentages could use some tweaking (lvl 10 can be completed with only a green triangle on a black background), but overall very good. 4/5
@Shadowbot - Gold specials have to be used along with iron letters in words to take out the swarms of small spiders in later levels. If you add a jade letter into the word as well, you do even more damage.
The special letters only work when used with a good selection of mid to high level irons - if you have only gold or jade, you'll never do enough damage.
Nice background music and user interface is pretty good, except for the board positioning. Most of the challenge at the higher levels is due to the board not being able to fit in the playing area and having to move it around. It would be better to just shrink it to fit, or expand the area it can be in, although this could be caused by Kong's size restrictions
This is one game where the size limitations on Kong really ruin it. On the home site where you can play full screen, accuracy is much easier, as long as you at least have a general idea where the city is.
For anyone who get the bonus mission, you first have to get the card in every level. Then click Cards in the trophy room to play the bonus level. You get the achievment after completing the bonus mission and then hitting Continue to leave the Trophy Room.
Playable, but has some major lag/slowdown issues. Turning the sound off helps, but doesn't even actually turn the sound off, it just shortens the sounds into little blurps. The minimap is also pointless because it doesn't show where enemies are and can't be used for navigation. 3/5
@lastlockdown: From what I can tell its not a bug, the customers are coming out fast enough when a 7th goes in the 1st comes out. You'll only get more than six if another store is causing clusters.
While I suppose the point is that it's a test of clicking endurance, it would be nice if there was a way to pause, or if at the very least, it took a short break (5-15 seconds) every 5-10 levels.
isola - that first epic boss is the hardest; took me at least a half dozen tries. Get glowing frame scores on all the earlier levels first to maximize your skill points. Then focus on getting your max mana up - you'll want it at least 11-12k max before the boss comes out, and don't buy anything the last 4 waves. There is some luck involved in getting the right color gems though - if you don't get any purple, you're screwed.
Ultimate - to combine first you need enough mana to combine, then hit the button (or G) and combine them in your inventory - you can't add one in your inventory to one on a tower.
Good but the occasional glitches really kill it because they're pretty severe - I've seen level 4 be unbeatable because the steam detector just keeps beeping instead of sending out power and I had to restart level 13 several times because the water turbine kept starting and stopping.
Good simple idea and well executed. For those getting stuck on the pearl (like I did) you can swim through the crab as long as you don't touch the beams or pearl, so just go around in circles.
Big problem with level completions not being reported for badge progress. This seems to be tied to slowdown in the game. If restart my browser and start at a later level, it will then register once completed, but subequent levels will not. After building out a lot of defenses, the game slows to 1/4 speed or worse, even at lowest quality settings. If I could at least load up my scores table from the title screen - I could send in that screen shot to prove completion for the badge :(
Nice design and ambient music, but the lack of one simple feature keeps me from giving it top rating. It would be really nice if you could somehow flag tiles as correct and/or lock them from spinning. Once you get to level 25+ that feature would keep this from being more of an endurance test than a mental test.
Great puzzle game - one of the best designs I've played in a long time. Unfortunately, based on the number of comments requesting additional instructions or help, I'm guessing it will never get the ranking it deserves as it may simply be too advanced for many players. All the instructions are right there in the game with a little bit of experimentation and exploration, exactly as a game like this should be. 5/5. This does take a lot of experimentation with trial and error and may not be for all gamers; especially those who just don't get logic puzzles.
