Thanks for the feedback :) I would like to give the game a fullscreen button so that this wouldn't happen, but I'm not sure if Kongregate has some policies against it. And I don't know about reliable ways to lock the cursor to my game's screen, but there are others controls configuration to back that up, like using the directional arrows + z/x, wasd + f or a gamepad if you have one
My biggest gripe about this game is how wasd arrows and clicking to attack work. Considering we can't make the game full screen, and how our cursor is free to roam around the rest of the screen. I can't tell you the amount of deaths I encountered because I clicked off screen, and so I quickly click back into the game and try to take over the wasd controls but it doesn't respond right away.
This game has potential. A few flaws I see are: 1.) Some aspects are not explained, such as how strong is barrier level 1 vs barrier level 10, or what does energy do? 2.) I cannot get any Transfer Points (TP) as the "Get TP" screen shows I have 0 gold, whereas my ACTUAL current amount of gold continues to increment in the exchange rate cost window. 3.) It is WAY to easy to die. Most of the enemies do 10 damage which is exactly how much health you have, and the wall doesn't appear to do anything except cost resources. I've not once seen it slow down an enemy.
It has amazing potential and great ideas, but I'm giving this a 3* for not having offline progress (only fractional currency gain). Notes for everyone, early on (first few prestiges), sniper and plasma balls DESTROY. Later on, spread and cannonball cause the most damage (but, you need some sniper for lone and black bricks).
I've never played this before, and after hitting "Start Game", all numbers are maxed out, spell icons are flashing and switching rapidly (I'm guessing from basic spell to intermediate to mastered), and every spell name is "fireball".
So, I guess I beat the game then?
This game is still broken ever since Disruption commented on it 16 months ago. I tried making it on the leaderboard and now the game will freeze and crash my browser if I click on "Start Game" or "Start Game (muted)". I also don't understand the leaderboard "Most networth per second", my amount has stayed at 2.086 trillion/s even though I have WAY surpassed that number (over 1 undecillion/s, or as this game uses "h" for undecillion).
Sorry Revelbase, I know you're working on a lot right now. In chrome, with your most recent update, the manager never returns for me even when I close chrome and re-open the page. I even hard reset my game, but to no avail.
One issue I see that isn't being discussed in the comments is the issue with reloading. All of the characters refuse to reload until they have all emptied their weapon. Meaning that they do NOT reload between waves and in some rare cases this lets a near entire wave go through nearly unharmed because my water cannons had a drop of water left in their cannon and several cops had a single bullet left in their chamber/clip.
The mechanics of the hard block needs to be fixed. The current set up is that the block is damaged by the length of time a character is touching it, as opposed to the number of times it is "hit". This means that ideally, a character should jump where their body is at the same height of the block to cause maximum damage. But, we cannot have our characters jump lower than they are once we upgrade the jump power. There have been too many times that all my characters are jumping to the top of the screen, but the hard block is only generated in the middle, and no matter how much focus I have my character put on the block, it still passes through without being destroyed.
Some bugs/issues I'm seeing: 1.) My vision dips WAY down randomly and at such deep depths that I lose a lot of my health. 2.) Mines have such a huge radius of explosion that there is no "narrowly avoided" part of it, you either move far away or always take some hit, even when using turbos. 3.) The barriers between 700-800 look too much like materials instead of the grey rocks as used beforehand. Too many times I have forgotten to avoid them...
Am I the only one that doesn't receive ANYTHING from alien messages? I'm using Chrome and I click the button "Decrypt Message" and I don't receive anything. No gold, no message, no way to see what the message was. I could really use that gold since it is the only resource that doesn't idly increase.
Personally, I would think that increasing crew luck would mean that less crew members would need to be hospitalized after a mission. Also, the concept of visiting each and every planet on the way to a new planet seems incredibly unnecessary. Either Earth is waiting far too long for the planets to align perfectly for a straight launch to visit each planet, or our scientists are too busy playing with beakers to realize we keep unnecessarily revisiting planets.
A few suggestions for the developer: 1.) Sometimes Santa will fire shots in random directions instead of where the cursor is pointed, it seems to be in the exact location of the shadow demon at that moment (which is 99% of the time useless). 2.) Every time we replay the game after dying we have to go through the instructions...every single time! Please get rid of this. 3.) Please please PLEASE stop placing evil reindeer behind our special attack display. I have gone from full health to near death because I didn't realize something was there. 4.) The hit boxes are pretty small for rescuing children or hitting an enemy. It seems that we have to hit the exact center of enemies and children for anything to count (otherwise we/our missiles pass through not doing anything), but the enemies missiles barely touch us and we are hit.
It's pretty fun, but some of the mechanics seem "off". Such as the fact that you can't target a specific tank or that the tanks seem to target the furthest tank their range can hit as opposed to the one that is right in front of it even though the one in front is bigger (like a level 4 or 5) and attacking you, while the one several blocks away is not moving and is a level 1 or 2.
