I made it to level 13, then said screw this game. Didn't even feel like I was playing a game until level 10 or so. Not fun, virtually no progression. BotD isn't worth it.
Not sure what it is, but this game feels incredibly cheap. I never feel like I'm creating new strategies, I just feel like I'm constantly throwing things at it to overpower the enemies cheapness.
So... you click on one of 3 things and then die. Kinda reminds me of the old Joe Cartoon games from the early 00's, but it's a bit lacking, even compared to 12 year old games.
This was pretty fun. I don't think I completed half the levels the way you intended though. I could usually bypass most of the interactive stuff and angle the ball in, or only use 1 of the 3 or so things in the level. Honestly, most of them I couldn't figure out how to use em all. But I did enjoy it all the way through.
Loved this game. I'm a fan of games with this combat system and I really liked how simple it was, while still providing some challenge if you want all 3 stars. I especially liked being able to destroy the enemy's energy source. Gives it a good mix of offense a defense. Keep up the good work.
Pretty fun. Ran into a problem early on where it would show a blank block that actually did have a corresponding color next to it. And once you hit 4 colors, it's pretty much guessing. Getting 1 or 2 with 4 options doesn't tell you anything really.
I don't get all the hate on this game. It's simple, fun, and completable. No WASD controls and no space to go to the next level did annoy me, but other than that it's not that bad, it's just not that great either.
I got a high score of 3 :/ I'd recommend doing one or more of the following: Slow down the overall speed, enlarge the characters, add a reference line to the main character that shows where she is going to attack, increase the time/distance traveled while charging.
Hey! Thanks for the comment and suggestions! It's really encouraging to hear from people who want to help me improve my game. I put a lot of thought into what you suggest, and addressed it in my post about this game! It's quite lengthy, but if you are interested in my thoughts, do check out my blog post: http://tumblr.thiefknight.com/post/76830236959/how-flappy-bird-inspired-knight-crash
Welp, my 2 cents on it: Using arrow keys and enter for controls is really awkward (especially when there is no real reason to have 2 different jump buttons). Blinding picking a path that will most likely kill you (66% chance initially) is a lame gimmick :/ Also, can't jump off the moving platforms. Would be nice if you moved with them as well. And as others have said, You can't get past the 4th or 5th level.
Why thank you, that was the point of it after all. Title kinda gives that away
