game works mechanically, but on a customer basis it fails. I love TDs and there are tons out there. Unfortunately this doesn't not stand out from the rest. Even if you fixed the obvious lacks (info on tower mouse over from beginning, proper restart in same window, speed up button, more maps, variety or creeps and towers, % per turn, buy/sell items), it would still only be a copy of something else. so as a project, it's great, but as a marketable game (even free), not so much. A for effort.
I don't get it. You click around and hope for groups of 3, but you have no way to plan for that (with items coming from off screen). I don't see any RPG parts either (story doesn't count). I'm probably just missing something.
I guess I get the old school part where the action choices are terribly limited, and you have to find the weakness to win. But it's basically boring and repetitive. A for effort, but I won't even finish it.
eh. not the best shooter/defender game. cute concept for 2 min. then very repetitive and boring. takes awhile to get all the trophies, but thankfully not as long as amorphous or it's copy cat cell warefare.
laggy and a memory hog. takes awhile for kong to recognize badge achievements as well.
less levels and less guns would at least make it what it is - cute, short fun.
the play is limited, laggy and timed wrong. the theme is not that amusing, and certainly not worth debate. I never knock anyone from trying to create something, so A for effort. and this certainly shouldn't have badges.
the story factor is what saves this game. I don't mind the minimalistic graphics either, but I seem to have a problem with the reaction time/points to jump fwd. kids won't get the game because they don't read any more. too bad.
fun game. sadly I got 14 easily and am stuck on 15. maybe my wires are crossed?
like the different components and that the number of levels is good (ie, not 100 levels, gets boring that way). glad for the badges.
good idea, but wow that's a lot of levels. w/o badges, won't complete all of that :(
suggestion would have been to make game 1 with like 20-40 levels, then release chapter 2 with more levels.
is there any reason for the lag? firefox vs IE? which flash version? it's not CPU specs or memory as lots of people have reported both good and bad specs and good and bad experiences. I play tons of games and apps, all open at once, and I can't think of any flash game this bad. the game is probably worth playing without the lag, but with it - ugh.
the game is easy. there have been a few people posting they are good at TD game but can't beat level 1 here. then you must be lying. for a real TD game, try Desktop Tower Defense 1.5 and go through the Hard level and then the optional levels.
but my concern here is the medium badge is not tracking the "tricks"; when will that be fixed?
comments to creator: interesting game. fun, playable, not too difficult. finding weapon a bit random though. like that it was short. I did have lag from time to time, but not enough to be frustrating. though amusing and well done overall, it wasn't so much of a "game" really. hopefully the sequels will have more.
comments to others: thought voices were better than some and at least it was proper English, which is rare.
this is not a kids website; the violence of many games alone should have told you that.
cool TD, though Desktop is still best. this one more similar to Gemcraft. like the different gems, but easiest strategy is simply lvl 6 everything and watch.
the lag is incredibly bad. MUTE
even if no lag, there are plenty of dodge games out there and this adds nothing interesting.
always glad someone puts forth effort, but this is not badge-worthy.
it is amusing. love the ending. better than gemcrat and sonny? personal preference I suppose, but Desktop Tower Defence and Protector are more mentally challenging and have more variations.
