Love TD games, and this is a great variant. My only trouble so far is the pit trap:
1) it did not reduce HP by 50%, more like 1% - that was painful and a waste of money.
2) it kept saying things were blocking. I didn't understand this, when using same physical logic as putting things around the coal trap for instance. ie, imagine an actual pit trap in a narrow corridor - this is physically possible and want people used to do.
3) enemies walking out of pit trap and then going the wrong way. this helped me, but didn't make sense. I accidentally made an almost infinite loop with this, which was the only way I could beat the captains since my pits were not actually taking any real amount of HP away from the enemies.
great effort overall though. Oh, for some reason I can't hear/find this cool pirate music people talk about. I hear some pirate talk every now and then, but no song :(
cute, but too many levels. too bored to go past lvl 15. may finish if badges.
good effort though like the instructions, ease of play, simple graphics and concept.
you can use arrow keys to rotate the atoms as well.
love the series, but once again finished the whole thing almost without needing/using any of the extras/skills. just read through what's coming and pick dexters and the right mages. strangely, on 80% of the boards if you went with blue mages only you'd win easily. don't know if that was intentional or not.
love TD games, though Desktop is still superior. thought this latest protector had a lot of skill building to add but completed the game long before most of that came into play. not that it needs to be longer though, just odd. I'll reload once badges appear.
a fan of puzzle games, so like this one. not too many levels thankfully and nice enough variety. problems as others have noted: a)knife fails to cut - happens quite a bit; b) can't tell which levels got star on or not.
nice effort overall - good implementation of single and class upgrades and variety of weapons. nice, clean graphics. good for options on mute, blood and speed up is great. tutorial and story fine too.
but the balance thing has been pointed out already - spamming a few arrow towers, then upgrade arrow class rules every board.
save option would be nice, or at least cookie recall.
might be good to have difficulty choices.
good idea and effort, flawed execution. don't mind some randomness in the damage (ie, dice rolls), but it seems either your generator is off, or something whacky is going on with the incidences of critical and weak attacks. the way it plays out upgrades don't really do anything either, you just wait and hope for big hits and those do not seem to be related to levels. do like the variety of units, movements and upgrade possibilities though. good to have the tutorial, but didn't really work out as well given the game mechanic flaws. again, great effort for a broad, complex thing.
fun, interesting game. like the puzzle + skill aspect. however, 3 things I didn't like:
1) too many boards
2) memory hog / lag issue
3) Dive board. not because "oh, it's too hard", but because unlike the rest of the boards, this one was 90% luck and only 10% brains/skills.
certainly good for a short game. randomness allows for variety and avoids fixed pattern wins, but does cause frustration as well. not too long, not too hard.
ok, now that badges are added, it doesn't recall I've already beat Mayor. fine, so I do it again. but then no end screen or acknowledgment?! endless.
now I'm more annoyed than just because it's a boring game.
fun, like the 24 modes and new creeps - great stuff!
as to other commentors: a) if you're complaining that it's too hard, stop. just practice; b) AI and last creep - really, if you're at that point, you haven't done the thing right to begin with.
so glad to see a game on here again that requires a brain and isn't just a repetitive puzzle game.
badges would be good, but with the availability of walkthroughs, what's the point :(
Hmm, Sonny was ok, at least it had some movement. #2 is just click, click, click. Sure, some brains required in picking abilities and targets, but really, not much to it. No movement, lags some, don't care about story. Nice visually, but already saw #1, so who cares. I like the effort, but I don't see what this added. Will end up playing it again to get badges whenever they come, but that's it.
Epic War 1+2 were better - this has less diversity. serious lag. not challenging, just repeat until win. medium badges are appropriate. no bugs found, good effort, but not replayable.
not only does it need options, it needs save or memory for restart. lag seriusl, but that seems to have a lot to do with Kong chat. using flashblock you can avoid that, unless you get unlucky and accidentally hit the chat box while shooting (ugh).
game cute, but easy. only need pistol (upgraded), then minigun.
hard badge not hard, but I'll take the 30pts
nice puzzle game, good badges. but 100 levels? really? too many. no impossible badge since there's got to be walkthroughs about. I don't think I can click the mouse enough to get through 100 levels, but I like the game concept, graphics, playability and difficulty level.
