I was just DYING to say "AWESOME SF2 OMG" but after playing this... I must say: Was there a problem with the translation from the original engine? This is a HORRIBLE translation. Its almost like the one version made on flash I played long ago that had nothing but sprites converted. Well in this one at least we can see the collision and controllers work fine, but the LAG is horrible! Not only that, we can clearly see the songs were badly converted. The only stage that have the "desperation" song is Ken's. The rest just stop and repeat the song again. I'm guessing its because the songs were pulled in such a way they got huge (which probably explains why the game takes an hour to load even thou it was originally made on 1991). And where is the intro? Options? Nothing? Was this just a promo to get people to buy SF4? How long will it take to get these people to realize GOOD gaming marketing overcomes sales?
Took me 923 deaths, a whole week and a lot of frustration to get the 1010, and may I say the ending is NOT worth it lol.
But apart from that this game is just all a hardcore player have been waiting for ever since the old NES.
And yes, I read forum hints to find the secret levels, cause finding all of them by myself would have been too insane (because apparently getting all 1010 coins was not?)
It is by far one of the best looking games I've ever played in Flash. But like people said its also one of the hardest. Mostly because of the "unlockables" we have to go throu out the game. Still, this game still deserves a 5 out of 5.
This game is just unbelievable. The quality goes beyond anything I've ever played in Flash. Ever. Took me hours to figure out the alien language before I finally give up and get to the walkthrough. Still, it was worth every minute. 5/5 And hope you get an award for it!
Hey Alec. That seems to happen in some computers when the game loads. Try cleaning your internet cache and load the game again. That should fix your problem.
An awseome Tower Defense experience for sure. I have an issue thou: Different then regular TD games, you "reverted" what we call "progressive dificulty". Instead of an easy experience at the begining of a map then headaches as it goes along, it is exactly the oposite: You pretty much have to find the perfect combination of skills and turrents at the first 5 waves on any map otherwise you will lose no matter what dificulty. Once you do, the rest is just 30-50 waves of boredom since the enemies somehow can't stand ur massive money making machine.
"Stimulus Package Badge" and "Builders of Might and Magic Badge"
Are not working for me either. Nothing is being recorded and I beat the game like 5 times already lol.
Love this game as the first one. My only complain is this limitation you guys have (not just this game and not just you) that stops us from playing the "full game" somewhere else then Armor Games. And the sad thing is that you lose your saved data if you do go to their website, meaning people like me that fought hard to get their kongregate badges will probably never do it all over again just to get some extra content.
My strategy:
- ALWAYS use Dual Machine Gun (DMG). Its the best and only weapon you will have throu the entire game.
- Install all the buffers SPECIALLY the damage buffer. Remember: its a machine gun, so increasing the damage of a single shot can vastly increase your DPS.
- Get a Shield Gun as soon as possible and tag it to your DMG. This will guarantee you to be immune to pretty much any non-bomb type shots.
Remember: Its not only about what to use, but how you position them. Use your own DMG to protect the Shield Gun in line while having its protective layer.
Wow you guys like to complain... The game is hard, and that is the point. Same as any NG original. Get over it. Its one of the best side scroller games of all times and hell yea I got all achievements in less then a day. Now stop complaining and learn how to be hardcore.
Well in some maps because of easy "stay put and heal" spots, the game gets extremelly pointless. After I hit 1000 kills I just got bored and killed myself. Other then that (which is pretty much the whole point of a survival game) the game is as good as the others.
