Loved the idea, problem is that in almost 90% of the time some solutions are pretty random. You just have to be lucky enough to get all the burning guys to run in the right direction.
The game is easy in deed, but that is the point really. The idea here is a score race (well, would be if it weren't for hackers)
Very creative work. Hope u get a sequel with maybe some interesting boss battles :D
I actually found "The End" harder then Lord of Hell (you wrote King of Hell on the achievement btw). Lord of Hell just stand still like a tower, and for some reason his life was going down faster then The end. Still a very nice game just like the first one.
Also if I may, try polishing "The End" sprites a bit more.
It is amazing. No questions. But like many people said, it is also way too easy as well. The only part I found remotely challenging was the last wave on survival mode. Still, it is perfect in almost every way. Decent history (for a flash game this short), amazing mechanics (I still can't believe you were able to compile a map that big without lags during an entire mission) and fun weapon system.
But again, if there is one thing to complain, its the difficulty. Make that shield 50 rather then 100 and you got yourself the best flash game of the year ;)
Haha I'm so glad I got addicted to that game (even supported) way before it got badges. I had all pawprints. Once I logged in I just saw the badges popin in :)
I totally agree with Phoenix00017. The game has fantastic technical and artistic styles. But gameplay wise it is in fact extremelly frustrating. Casual game is ridiculously easy to a point where you don't even have to play. Just update your machine gun once every 2 waves and in 10 minutes you are set for the entire game. The game is EXTREMELY slow and since there is no way to speed the waves up you are stuck on an obvious loop that is probably making our dear author laugh at our misery. I was patient enough to wait until wave 50 but to be honest I actually "rebuilt" a new turret just so I could kill myself and get to submit my score. It is a shame that such a nice approach to defense game is so poorly executed.
I agree this game should be the #1 and totally surpass Sonny. It is fantastic. I've never been so addicted to a flash game to a point where I literally lost an entire day playing just to beat it. And I just felt sad for beating since I wanted so much more. It has a feeling of Diablo mixed with WoW mixed with simplistic flash games, yet it AMAZINGLY complex in every way. Congratulations.
I screech my last comment lol
I just got the 25 live animals pawprint.
Like the achievement said.. yeah. I have no life lol.
Took me ages thou but I made it :D
Dude its impossible to beat the game with 25 animals left. I mean I managed to beat with18 by making a perfect game, but 25 is literally impossible. You just made that achievement up really. There are missions that simply don't allow you to live without killing at least one animal. Why make stuff up like that really?
And to prove that this has nothing to do with skills, since your game does not interfere with your computer opponent (which "apparently" has different difficulty levels) you can play exactly the same way every game. It doesn't matter. It is 99% about luck and 1% about not being stupid. I beat the hard difficulty the same way I beat the easy one, and to be honest, I lost more times against the reckless simply because... well, its just luck. Nothing else involved. Now if you could somehow affect your opponent's game, there -COULD- have been some strategy there, but there are none.
"A dice game of great skill (and a little luck)"
You sure its not the opposite? lol Seriously?
great skill? What? to decide rather to go home with 300 or try more luck with 3 dices? Or would it be just those inconvenient "ziltch before getting at least 300"? Seriosly, the game has nothing to do with skill. Well I mean, if you consider THAT what I just said skill, then well... I feel sorry for you.
I like the way you minimized the randomness effect of a card game by making a different approach to the resource system. But even with that, I'd say you DEFINITELY need the multiplayer aspect. No challenge or mission was hard enough with an AI, cause lets be honest, card game AI are most likely the hardest thing to pull.
The Godlike badge should have been an impossible badge. Its ridiculously hard to do it considering a bad can randomly appear from any where and cut 90% of your web even if you have it only in one spot and extremelly secured. Still, after many many hours I finally made it :D
Doesn't really fit with the mindless monkeys around the net. Every argument I got into ever since I started playing was "lol", "you suck", "your mama" and so on. Yeah, internet is not ready for this :D
Took me about 4 days of frustration to finally beat the game. The "bug" the author claims is from an old save file is not true. I got 121 kills right yesterday. Had to start from level 2 to get the number right.
