It starts out ok, but after the first few levels it just gets mindnumbingly dull. You are constantly starved for stars, all the while drowning in crystals. You can't order your harvesters to only collect stars either.
And the most idiotic thing is ofc that you have to buy ALL the upgrades to get to the next tier. Even the lvl 3 fuel tanks you won't need for another 5 levels, just to get the best rockets.
The first 3 floors are nice, then it becomes "watch the cooldowns". Your sword becomes completely obsolete, as all the items with +dmg. Guess that's a 3/5.
Seems not very well thought out, and ha some bugs. For example when you upgrade one trap once, all tooltips show the updated stats for lvl 2, for all traps. And you can just repeat lvl 1 to get all the upgrade points you ever need, since you always get the reward at the end, even on completed levels. Also: pretty much all of the traps are complete wastes of money, just spam hornblowers and kill everything with your cannon(s).
Pathetic ripoff ? Check. Pay to win ? Check. Engrish ? Check. Horrible performance ? Check. You can't even quit the bloody tutorial ? You better belive that's a check. Let's see if flagging the game does anything.
The controls are fornicating AWFUL. The whole game plays like on ice. The hit boxes are akward. Once you got 3 ravens you can just concentrate on dodging and let them do the killing, which is good since the enemies fire through bloody walls. Max bow for the boss, everything else is trivial.
Very nice of the other racers to wait for me while Im trying to scale the wll behind the start. Wasted about a minute there and somehow still managed to finish first O_o.
Err..Im not sure what is going on. Spam towers and hope for the best ? There is no strategy or even tactics involved. Click stuff, maybe something happens. You can even lose to a boss after you killed him when the missiles are airborne.
Very nice game, my strat of dumping everything into regen, and then crit worked way better than anticipated. You can abuse pause to sell plants one shot before their demise :)
