this AND sprout fall into the same genre as games liek King's Quest, Monkey Island, LOOM, and dozens of other games. It would be silly to call this a sprout rip-off given the gross differences in interface (click on environment vs select from a limited number of moves)
fun, but once you get a few good units it is pretty boring. I lost maybe 2 or three units grand total conquering the last 25 towns or so. Some words of advice:
for the damage badge use a "mysterious ... of death" weapon or armor.
invest heavily in patriotism, intelligence, and art of war in the early stages of the game.
Buy the best melee units you can, archers can be effective but it works well to just stack melee
excellent concept, good level design, buggy implementation.
hit detection is wonky, you often die a few pixels away from a set of spikes. Ultimately, I got frustrated with dying a half dozen pixels away from the spikes and called it quits on lvl 14
