Actually the orginal MusicQuest got frontpaged on newgrounds and currently has over 250 thousand plays (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/561618). But the game eventually got buried and can only be found by doing a custom search now. It was the COMMUNITY (not admins) of Kongregate that kept the original MQ alive, which is why I kept this game a Kong exclusive. It has nothing to do with them "allowing" me to put the game up, any website would allow that.
You start out way overpowered, you journey and become even more overpowered, and once you get to the final island you can build a shitload of shrines to become even MORE overpowered... Seriously, there's no challenge to this game. It needs heavy balancing.
Only reason I ever kept playing this game is that the impossible badge is quite easy for an impossible. If the ghost bug had been fixed, after almost two years on Kongregate, the impossible badge would be a mere medium badge at most.
One feature that would make the game slightly better would be if the equipment would become coloured as well, and not just the balls. Especially the wool hat should soak up colour like crazy. Speaking of which, I'd love a "Factory Hats".
The zoom hotkeys don't work. The pop up windows are terribly sized and pop up at random locations. Attacking to/from Kamchatka to/from Alaska while zoomed in is nearly impossible. Since this game is just a rip off of a board game with one or two additions and no real graphics to talk about, it should be done a lot better, especially for a game 3 years in the making. 1/5, since I can't give a 0.
If you're having trouble with a zombie getting too close while wielding the minigun, and you can't outrun him, why don't you try DROPPING THE F-ING GUN?!? You'll get fast, and will be equipped with a machete that will make fast work of the blue zombies. They may be quick, but they're weak and there will be plenty of more miniguns where it came from (wherever that is...).
I love trying desperately to avoid a heat seaking missile, only to realize after ten agonizing seconds that it's a piece of scrap being pulled towards my ship.
