I am stuck on cave 5. The goblin keeps walking through my units or getting knocked over them by my special attacks, succubi, or tanks. Then he just goes and kills my castle before my units kill his. I'm using all the same units as in the walkthrough too, but he keeps getting by.
Tyilo, the red herring is a joke. A "red herring" is something used to distract you that means nothing. It's like planting false evidence for example.
Anyway, good game. The logs added to the feel of the game and made it more suspenseful. I was impressed with the movies. They were good quality for a flash game.
I didn't get a chance for a trick of the bounce, but I still got it from the backflip handstand. Like was already said, make your rocket point up for awhile before you turn so you get some extra height
This game was fun. I didn't care for the ending because there was plenty of time to beat the boss but it's a plot element. oh well. Well written. I love the jokes about it being a game as well as the generic jabs at the genre.
PART 2
When you get to about 15 seconds or less, or however much where you know that you won't make it back to the water, launch out the same way. But from now on, every time you star slide, jump off right away! you need to keep going up. If you ride the stars, you might hit the end of the string and then you will go sideways, not up, and are probably screwed. All that forward momentum is key to getting the best launches.
Again, no matter how fast I went, I didn't make it to the restaurant unless i hit the stars near pluto, so there is some luck in this. Also, the game didn't always let me slide or I had tendency to catch star strings right on their tips so I didnt have time to jump.
It's tough and frustrating, but this is a fun game so keep at it and you'll get it eventually.
I finally got it. Even if you don't make mistakes, there is still a lot of luck because you have to catch the stars around pluto (new horizons).
Here's what you want to do. Spend your first minute doing low jumps and getting as many "good entry" bonuses as you can because they increase your speed. At around a minute, jump at a sharper angle so you reach a star string. Hold down to slide on the stars, just like sliding on the water. Ride the whole line and let it launch you sideways. This gives you a lot of speed.
From now on when you leave the water, be as horizontal as possible, start a tail slide, and push up to jump right away. Keep holding down to ride the stars. Again, ride the whole thing so it launches you and gives you the speed bonuses.
Also, when star sliding make sure you hit up or W to jump off the stars before the end of the run or you will just fly sideways, not up. Interestingly, you can jump up at any point, not just when sliding upwards.
I've gotten to Saturn but I forget what the bonus is called. Jupiter is Wandering star...
Anyway, I'm finding the most success for this by doing a lot of low jumps to build speed. You wont get many points, but this impossible badge doesn't need points. Staying low lets you do more jumps, which means more "nice entry" bonuses which build your speed. Also, all the rings are low.
Finally, all that forward momentum is good when you finally launch upwards at the last second because you can starslide really fast. If you jump off the stars on the way up, you just bought yourself some extra upward momentum.
Finally beat impossible 3. But it accented why this game sucks on the harder levels. While impossibles 1 and 3 had some great parts in them that required great timing, I found myself constantly being killed by things that I never actually touched. Projectiles do this more than sawblades or lava or salt, and the worst of all are those stupid mouths.
If it weren't for this and the poor control response, this would be a much more fun game. The levels are designed well.
yes, kokonut. It can be a mixed blessing though. Just as it can only be reached by ship, madagascar can only spread by ship, and it doesnt like to send out boats. You can waste a lot of time being only on madagascar. Also, other countries like to lock down by that point. Argentina is particularly annoying
Actually, I have infected madagascar (and other countries) after they have locked down. It might just be dumb luck and it is certainly rare, but it happens. What I hate most is that even when i start in madagascar it can take 30-40 days to get anywhere else!
Not sure if its because of air transmittance or what but I have had totally locked down countries get infected. Madagascar had its shipyards closed but was infected. Brazil had borders, shipyards, and airports closed but was infected.
