Was just thinking how nice an Isoball 3 would be the other day. Been playing this since it came out and just finished it. I didn't like the TONS of easy levels with no option to skip to the harder/more fun ones. I got hung up on 52 the longest, some of those later ones were a good challenge. Also, loved the green bridges going through doors. All the levels are quite doable.
Quite a fun game. I can see why people get hung up on "morphing" and "momentum." Morphing suggests changing the original object, but not replacing it (hence keeping momentum). Calling the game something like "Teleporting," could be more natural wrt the momentum mechanics... but that's just nitpicky. 5/5
@Tanker That's a good idea. At some levels greater heal would wait too long to heal and one hit would jump the margin GH had to heal me and I'd die. My solution was to just lower how many points I had in it.
I'm not one for cheating, but if you want to fix the crafting bug yourself... you can get a lot of mats and then open the gamesave and delete "cloth" out of the mat's name, then it'll craft.
You can make the priest so that he never needs to rest during normal grinding, which seems to keep him xp'ing at a decent rate. Also running a mage and at 50 he is a beast with all purple gear from the dungeon (took like 20 runs).
I really don't like how you can power up pyroblast all the way then get killed by an enemy (or even worse, a dungeon boss) because he had too few HP for the game to want to cast pyroblast a second time. If enemy hp < pyroblast damage it never seems to cast. Which is bad half the time. Also, would like an option to re-order skill priority.
Amazing game. I really like the graphics they are very crisp. I like how the difficulty ramps as you progress, it was a little boring/simple at first, but got a lot better. Only complaint is some poor English in the dialogs. Get someone to check it over.
It's interesting how Todd acts like his actions are inconsequential and objectifies everyone, yet they can take him over. (tried to keep this obscure with no spoilers)
For the final boss I used both uzi weapons. Shoot him from the right side of the map with both weapons spaced very close together (think the second one does some damage). Run to the other side, shoot again, repeat. If you get shot, run under the block instead jumping on top of it.
Some levels feel way too grindy. There's no fun or challenge waiting for certain colors then grinding them out for spells to cast tons of times in order to finish.
Ok, isoball X level pack is coming out soon with 50 new levels. no basic easy levels!
