Was going to complain about the controls, then realized you never really need the flashlight or to sprint, so narrows down the options ;) Very nice game, loved it.
Bug?: Was playing final challenge, opponent played "enforced silence" and the card never went away: 1) was up for 5+ turn for a card that has a max limit of 3; 2) opponent never played the card again (via text)
Nothing was broken, almost every arrow that flew through the head or chest of a person hit. The main problems were that the arrow speed was much slower than the speed of the enemies. The aiming mechanism was slow and felt limiting-- i.e. it was too hard to "lead" enemies. There was sometimes no way to attack enemies close up (arrows kept passing through them). The biggest problem I had (and I think most people had) was that it took so long for the arrow to clear the screen to allow the next shot that missing once was often a death sentence.
True, a lot of these kinds of games are very text heavy and that does turn the gamer off, however, I found that the level of text in this game was appropriate. Now, the level of the dialogue was not "impressive" but was appropriate for the setting of the game. It took me back to children's books-- mostly the phantom toll-booth.
This is nothing, I remember the tangerine rain of '87. You kids think you have it tough with your room-full of bouncing fruit, these were monster tangerines and I'm talking HUGE, why we didn't think it would ever end and they just kept coming and coming.....
