Game balance is terrible. The tiny enemies, undodgeable mobs (especially the green ones), the drifty ship/camera/controls (even AFTER the dampening upgrade), the ancient pickup system, and how the QoL upgrades are brought in later in the game so it actually goes from frustrating to boring as the game progresses... Even on hard difficulty the only difference seems to be that you get less money. Game is very, very average otherwise.
A lot of polish is missing. Much of the game's info is either missing or straight out inaccurate, and the only way to tell is through trial and error... and failure can be VERY punishing. Plus there's just so much randomness in combat that you rarely feel like you're in control, whether you're stomping or dying. Hiding the complicated bits of your game does NOT make it simpler, especially when you need that info to make decisions. I could've enjoyed this, but those design decisions really spoiled the game for me. Maybe I'm just not the target audience for this thing.
This is quite obviously a first and foremost mobile game, with the pacing being what it is. But rarely have I played one that takes so long to even start up. Its a shame, there's obviously more to the game and I might have liked it more at that point but its just too damn boring to get there.
I really don't like this game. It seems to demand an unreasonable amount of micro and lacks the tools for you to do so. Things like multiple unit selection, and a pause hotkey. And despite whatever the tutorial says, due to full refunds on unupgraded things upgrading stuff isnt worth it half the time. THELs in particular seem very underpowered. I wonder if any of this massive selling micro is even intended at all given you can't select many units quickly and how the game gives advice to the contrary... Perhaps Creeper World has spoiled me. :P
Hey oddish, Sorry about the lag factor. We are working on changes that add a menu/settings system that might help people with different types of computers or internet connections as well as just general performance improvements.
