It's a start, but there are some annoyances that could easily be fixed. For starters it would be nice if you could also move with arrow keys and attack wouldn't be just Space - that doesn't work properly in all browsers (Firefox for one). There seems to be something off with the depth, where I can see my character walk through a tree (instead of behind it). The most annoying thing I found was, that if I walk up to an enemy from below, it will be hidden behind my character, so I can't see what damage I do.
Nice start. The window might be a but larger and the pinball machine (area) could use some extra features, but there is already a lot to enjoy (duh,it's pinball).
If you get your pc also see if you can find a better development environment. They may seem (too) complicated at first but in the long run they will help you create an actual real game. Invest some time and effort. This appears to be a nice start, but there is so much going wrong, in a really tiny window, that it is hard to see if you're really on to something.
I see what you mean by things going wrong..
By the way, I probably should mention that I mainly tried to focus more of my work towards Music. I never really was that great when it comes to coding or even making proper sprites, I do have a friend who would gladly help me turn this into a Unity Game, but.. I dunno. I'm afraid of changing my coding software cause other programs intimidate me. it'd probably be worth a shot though.
This is much better suited for a browser game compared to the previous versions. The main problem that still remains is the red text. Obviously it only actually does anything when it turned green, but it's nice to see what the requirements for an upgrade are.
I'm sorry, this might be a nice game but the interface is too awkward in many ways. I guess it would be easier on mobile but then why put it on Kongregate? Part of interface design is realizing what platform you are targeting.
Not bad, but the layout, or actually the screen size is a serious problem. You can't see the upgrades (and their prices) along with the available cash. This makes the game really awkward to play.
It's a nice start. You clearly put some work in it, definitely more than the average Scratch game, but I think it would really benefit the game if you used another development platform. Also a bit more contrast might make things a bit clearer, sometimes texts are a bit hard to read. Still: good job sofar!
I just refreshed to see the latest update and is it true that the income for the first three buildings is signifcantly improved? That makes my second question irrelevant. Good job on keeping improving the game!
I'm enjoying the game, but I have some questions or suggestions (maybe I'm missing something, in which case please enlighten me ;) ). First: the building upgrades only affect income, why couldn't they also have an influence on the number of knights, lawyers or robots? If you're building robots upgrading the factory is pointless. Second: pretty soon buying more farms, barracks or houses is just a waste of money, if you can build the other buildings. This also means that the upgrades for those buildings seem pointless. Is there a way to fix this in balancing or at least have an option to skip upgrades that don't do much? Third: do you plan to introduce some more options for the castle raids?
By the way, I just refreshed and as expected lost my progress, but apparently the save function (online and local) seems to work again now. So that is a bad news, good news situation I guess...
Promising game, but... the automatic save suddenly stopped working and the local save didn't do anything either, so if I were to refresh, my progress is lost.
Reading the credits I notice some blue text and click the link. Instead of opening in a new tab the link opens in the game tab, so there you go...
As I started: the game looks very promising, the fact that it is still under development makes it even more promising, but if the save function is shaky, refreshing to check the latest update isn't very appealing.
So, keep up the good work and maybe do some extra check on the save function (when saving locally you could just display the save string and I'll copy it to a text file myself :) )
Nice update of the previous version. My main issue is (still) the readability of the text and particularly the numbers. It's hard to see if there's a dot or not. The old style console font was nice in the previous century, but fonts have evolved since those days.
Added some new features, and will continue to! Thanks for the feedback!
