This is an awesome game, but it definitely has a lag that sometimes prevents me from jumping, I think when the lighting is updating. It gets better at high speed or just in colored mode.
Yeah, I too notice that there is more lag, mostly when clicking or moving crusaders or pressing ctrl+shift, and I've been getting the requesting server message, sometimes for just a second but rarely for minutes.
If you're going for the 200 achievements badge, do not open a new window logged into your Kong account. Open it in a private window instead. Opening a new window or tab in the same account will mess with your Kongregate connection and may cause you to be unable to accept badges until you reload, and since there's no save function in this game that means losing all the progress.
I was pretty impressed with this game on the first playthrough. I did everything the "good" way and talked to everyone at every opportunity. Then, I thought, what if I do everything the "bad" way and ignore everyone. Well, except for a bit of flavor text right after my selections, it was exactly the same. My character showed great care for people I didn't. I even had bandages I didn't take. If there are no meaningful choices or trials, what's the point of using the medium of a game?
Welcome to lag hell, cadet, where memory leaks combine with slippery controls and not even the location of the cursor can stay up to date while you dance around the field without a care.
The first three runs the dragon came promptly at day 11. The fourth run I had my divine edge ready... and at day 13, he still hadn't come. I died from a rat because I had no healing.
I know you're trying to set the mood, but please don't make us click the same guy six or seven times to trigger one event. The slow talking with clicks between each is another turnoff from this game.
Back in the Valentine's Day event the only piece of equipment I got for Rocky was his epic hair, 40% DPS boost for all crusaders. Now I'm still finding that boost to be very effective while Rocky himself does nothing, so I just say I'm putting Rocky's hair on the field.
This strongly reminded me of Jezzball. I would've sworn they use the same popping sound too, but it was just in my mind. Unfortunately balls in this game do not easily get captured, as they tend to clip through filler balls and even pop out on the other side of the screen.
I reloaded the kongpanion page the second the new week rolled around and found I had already earned the badge, and still, 151 people made it here before me.
For anyone wondering, collecting about 4-5 times after an island gets angry will result in "riot" which takes away 20% of the current glory level progress (doesn't lower your level) and reduces the island's level by 1; islands level 1 don't riot but they do stop giving gold (you never need to re-take them as the tutorial suggests). Improving islands lowers their current anger, and attacking the enemy resets it all. Honestly, I can't imagine improving your islands more than twice to ever be beneficial, and you probably want to just put in the 100 gold and leave it at that.
Thank you for the feedback.
