If you are interested, I think two corrections would make the game more agreeable: lower the move extension price to FIVE diamonds - diamond are too hard to earn, five moves for fifty diamonds is quite unbalanced. Second, make a second button in the extension offer screen. Twice I got distracted, clicked the button by mistake and expend 50 diamonds for nothing. It is too prominent and really "asks" to be clicked, as it is the sole button in the screen.
I guess the first boss "inventor" son is responsible for the flying machines, right? I can't think of any other reason for him to keep investing in those slow, weak and short ranged devices...
Awesome game. Really great. Loved the design, the pace, the mechanics. Speechless it's a one-man job. One-man great, great job. When I think about the quality of some games that have been hitting the top spots in the iOS and Android stores I get almost sad. Hope everybody comes here and rate this fantastic game 5, I would love to see it in the top Kong games ever list...
And in the top of all other complaints (the responsiveness, the music, the sounds, the quality of upgrades), I do loathe upgrades games where you finish before buying all upgrades. The last stages/portions of any upgrades game should be hard even for a fully upgraded squirrel....
Once you have enough upgrades, the hard badge isn't so difficult, just long. Use a combination of puddles and archers (with their totems). The puddles should be upgraded to the mind control, the archers to poison arrow. As the puddles with totems refill your mana, you can use zombies (also upgraded to three at a time) as infantry to slow down the fairies bellow your towers or to protect the kids. Up to the 6th or 7th level a zombie apocalypse backed up by 3 or 4 puddles is almost invincible. After that you will need the archers and the occasional fireball plus titan. Until then don't spend your money on skeletons. In the later levels the skeletons near the kids serve as a protection against mana accidental depletion or distraction. 5/5.
Soldier, you're the only one standing between us and total defeat - unfortunately the Congress cut our budget deeper than the enemy, so you have to pay for the weapons with your own money. Good luck, godspeed and may God have mercy on our souls!
The hardest achievement must be "My Precious", collect all money in a level above 9. An easy solution: after upgrading everything, enter level 10, fix your mouse pointer at the center top of the screen and simply run from right to level and back at the top of the screen. The bugs will all go up and line there for you to shoot them, eventual shots you take will be more than compensated by regen and the magnet will attract any offscreen coins. Just remember not to move the pointer down, so you don`t accidentally shoot something at the lower part of the screen (or even worse, hidden at the bottom).
Just a me too: one awesome game! Every detail accounted for, from the sneak attack to the hack routine. Very nice interface and controls. 5/5 with shinning stars.
I don't know if you can ask for some sort of "realism" is a "single-handed apocalypse avoidance" game, but the game gets pretty boring once you realize the mildly upgraded rocket launcher will carry you to the end without much effort.
In a side note, someone should get the guy SELLING weapons in a situation like this and put him on trial for crimes against humanity (yeah, yeah, just kidding...)
After you get all upgrades, specially infinite ammo and surprise weapon, the final badge (every star) is just a matter of patience. Before that there are levels where it is almost impossible to get 3 stars with the primary weapon...
