Well... where do I start... First off, use of generic textures, and a skybox that comes with Unity. Second off, the text dump that we're expected to read while our camera shakes like mad. The camera is... interesting, but I'm sure I could figure out how you did it within a few minutes, also frame tearing. And lastly, probably most vitally... The whole 72 virgins thing is an incorrect way of looking at what the Islam religion tells. Also, paradise doesn't have diseases, and you shed your "earthly body" and enter a "heavenly body" in their religion, just as with Christianity. Finally, the "gauntlet of sex" thing is clearly something you made up in your own head. 1/5, make an actual game and get back to us. and this time, try to stay away from religious parodies.
I really like this game... At first the skeptic in me said "tch, just another side scrolling running game, wonder what the mechanic is this time"... and quite frankly, there wasn't much to this game, but it seems a bit... aware of it's own genre. The game ended before it just became tedious.
There are a few bugs I found though. If you jump right after the screen goes dark after death catches you, you'll fall out of the game when you start again, but jumping fixes it.
Also... enemy placement gets evil... seriously.
So I got to area 9... And let me help those just starting out not play this game. I've bought every upgrade possible that have anything to do with improving my chances at what you can get for that battle, but it is impossible. You are pit 1 cavern vs 4 caverns. You can maybe get into the second cavern before they get into your cavern making their fifth... For a quick idea as to what your suicidal units are up against... imagine swordsmen vs guys with grenade launchers... yup.
I get that you were trying to make a war type game that wouldn't be so bluntly straight forward... but please... dear god please review what you just made... Play it though at least once.
Tiny drill bot for a Tiny game... the lack of a jump button works in the favor of difficulty, but... To anyone just looking for a game to play, not one that is frustratingly hard, it sucks.
Two more criticisms, then I'll compliment it. First, In the scene where you're wrapping the girl in the hallway, where you see the guy's arms moving. What position is that? Is he squatting? But then what about the sideways pocket? Experation please??? second. You can't check on the girl and even if you try, Eden thinks back to "I wonder how the girls doing"... oh and the hit detection on the shooting thing is kinda funny... Right compliments. It looks good for the style it's going for. It needs work, but it looks good. And for the control scheme you're going for, it works alright. And I'm sure it has a good plot, but because the plot comes in three plot dumps in such a short game... I just dont care...
*Sees "dead girl*... *doesn't think to check pulse*. *Dead girl is actually alive*... *She doesn't think to move and lay on her back*. *Gets girl a medic kit, ends scene sitting*... *She's still laying dead*... -,-' I know, I know... But she feels like a bad plot device that will never come back into the equation at this point.
"It's attacked by FALLING METEORS, BOMBS, ROCKETS, and ALIENS." ... Ok, who the hell is going to be in a bomber dropping bombs while missiles and meteors are coming down, and Aliens are smart enough to get out of there as well. Anyway, an over all mindless and boring game. It's... pretty bad really...
This is just frustrating... This game is good, don't get me wrong. But it's more like a polished base, then a full game. there are key mechanics that are missing, and some mechanics that need to be altered.
First off, firing workers... Yes, it is useful, please stop dancing around it. Next, the way the whole quality thing is. With the way you have it set up you should have a % quality, and a star counter. because honestly, the way you have it now, if I have 12 workers, I need to be making medium projects to get the award, if I dare make a micro project, I mess up my average and I will not get that award, which is a problem. Third, stopping a project/training. Also making people not stop all progress when one person gets up to go eat something, and making people take priority over learning a program type over working with their group or on the project. If we could set that, that'd be wonderful.
I personally give it a 3/5 with a hope of progress to bring out true potential.
Couple changes to consider.
1 Make it so you can start from the loop you died on, the beginning- possibly with the same number of hearts you were at when you got there the first time.
2 Try to introduce different Genre's... I'm ok with Techno, but hearing the same particular noises over and over get's tiresome to someone who isn't a techno fan. (Try DnB, and- if you'll forgive the plug- particularly Feint, you can find him on Youtube and some of his songs would be great for this!)
3, and last, Let us access all songs from the start. I get the idea of unlocking songs shows progression, but in this kinda game, we need variety in the levels we can choose. At least let us access more songs from the start.
I hope you find my ideas helpful, even if you don't any of these to heart, there's plenty I could say good about this game so... 4/5.
I reread what you wrote. You are not just wrong theologically, you also seem offended. Do you suffer?
