As has been stated before, the early levels are way too easy if you up crew quickly. I appreciate the growing difficulty curve, and the quirky pirate spin on the old alien defense game, though! 4/5
I really enjoy this game... as a wizard. The other classes seem like button mashing, but the wizard is fun + challenging. Also, I like the Charisma add.
Not a great defender game. There are many better which are more worthy of an hour of my time or a badge. Ugh. Who's picking them? Are they paying money to Kong to get a badge added?
Good game, not great. The graphics were my favorite, as well as the ending. "There has been a great disturbance in the Force..." heh, heh. BUT: I feel level ups should be clearly marked for weapons, and that the boss shouldn't be killable by your own explosion (that's how I won).
I agree with mkickon. The game becomes skewed once you acquire powerful units (I worked with Crusaders... never lost one after buying 10).
Some fixes are in order: massively increase the price of scrolls. Army should be expendable, not heroic, allowing the hero to hide behind. Also, cap the power of an army in battle. Perhaps only 1 of each "type" of heroic unit--thus, you can only have 1 crusader, one black samurai, etc. this would require more strategery.
This game is pretty bad. C'mon: bad music, rather random gameplay (I'm sure skill is involved, but winning seems to be based more on waiting for a good map than on skill). Challenges should be for better games. Good lord.
A good RPG starter, fun, requires some strategery, with beautiful music and gorgeously drawn backgrounds. There's not much there plot or gameplay-wise, but for a RPG written by a single person, not a team, this is gorgeous. 5/5.
The controls are annoying and the randomness of arenas and overall glitchiness makes this game somewhat unpleasant. I'll get the card, and then never touch this one again.

Perhaps introduce green and yellow at slightly earlier levels? Even making it to 10, where yellows appear, is VERY challenging.
