Fun but very brief and slightly buggy game (froze in the kitchen the first time I played it). Also, the narrative style is odd--for most of the game, you're playing as the visitor, and then in the last scene you shift perspective to the human? That's weird. I kinda enjoyed being the visitor more. Woulda been interesting to see the last scene be the visitor have to go up against an armed opponent--now that it's assimilated a human as well, and has traits of the frog, cat, fish, bird, and humans.
A fun game, with pretty low replay value once you figure out how to beat the computer. Some good stuff here, though. And yeah, the masses of Ron Paulites on this website scare me.
A pretty standard platform game, with a really bizarre storyline. C'mon, if you're gonna make it a game vs. George W., at least do it well and actually politically, as with the emogame "The anti-bush video game" (just google it, it's really quite well-made and political and fun).
Additionally, the music is clearly from the SNES F-Zero racing game. I somehow doubt the maker got legal permission to use that music, and something like this isn't fair use. Create your own or don't use music. Don't pilfer copyrighted material.
Dracus: I totally disagree by this point. Flak and shield gen are crucial to getting high scores. Once *either* dies, the end is coming soon for all but the main building. Keeping them alive above 50k is a major challenge. Of course, at the end it'll be a test to see how long you can keep your main building alive solo, but until that time, flak will kill 90% of the missiles coming at you, with EMP for emergencies. I haven't yet found time-slow particularly helpful. This should get you above 50k every game... higher than 70 is a major, major challenge.
This game needs some badges, badly.
Also, let me suggest a subtle change to game mechanics. Have the other buildings operate off of a power source other than shields. Because it kills 'em to turn on, this would make upgrading them instead of the main tower more valuable.
Not the best game ever, but perfect for badges. Puzzely goodness. I'd give it 3.5/5 if halves were allowed. Gets repetitive and aggravating quickly for me, but some people eat this stuff up.
