sabertooth - you basically try to destroy the core within. The trainer didn't go nuts, he left (and got nuts). It's a good thing, and a bad thing, since you won't be seeing Knave anymore - you completed all sidequests though.
The duel with Loki is easy:
First of all, you want to circle around his shots. Secondly, you need around 80/50+/90(99ifpossible), Gatling Tier 3, Gatling 99, AMU-S "Odin". Third, when you have overdrive ready, USE it. Try to get high enough chain so that if you get hit, you get an extra 50% overcharge (250K+). If you need more than 2 overcharges, you're doing something wrong.
As for the other people saying "chain break is shit": You can realign your mouse in such way that you get a better position, without having to move your hands to the ESC key.
*cough* Hahaha, denton, you can stick that 1/5 up uh... you know.
I hate people who go 1/5 because they don't understand the way autosave works in here. Autosave is there to make the "NOOOOO, something went wrong, and now I didn't save" not happen. The setback that happens isn't as big as it could be (I have seen and heard setbacks from level ~75 to 20.)
NONE of the badges are impossible. Some might be hard, but others consist of figuring out what to do. 1% HP first. Equip a staff, and use melee attacks, or equip a melee weapon, and start throwing magic.
I have played and finished both. I have played 2 more than 1 (mainly due to me having to hack/cheat my way through caves, since the caves bugged on me). I liked the story etc... and this is fanwork. It's not really in the direction of the Prime Evils and that kind of stuff. More the corruption of the world. Kind of "What would happen if the worldstone WASNT destroyed?"
Looking at the new strategy, the game suddenly got very easy. You want to spend your RP to make your victory certain. After that, you should probably come to a win situation around 1950. If you don't consider upgrading to 9 commericial plots, selling the coal things and planting wind.
Bugged and glitchy to hell, combined with poor level design (I got stuck. Sure, I could move, but hey, it's like being trapped in a pit. You can only shout "Help") equals 1/5.
Encountering monsters takes one turn equals 1/5, I hope you die etc., even better yet, I hope your family goes with you and any sponsors realise that you should be paying them.
Flash games are supposed to be free entertainment. A turn/2hours doesn't do that. If you had a turn/10minutes, well, it could probably do.. barely.
Okay, so, you made something by yourself. This is a great stable way to start programming, rather than making a shootorial clone.
Things for next version:

Try and find a way to stop the . from entering if (guess % 1) > 0){
Second try: 2 Fusion plants, income of 30k/year.
Lets just think about it. 7 cities. You need to secure 150K*7 = 1050K. You also need 10030 RP. You have 110 turns.
You would need an average income of $9546 and 91.19RP per turn to win. I'll attempt now for the third time...
I did everything I could do, but 150K is too much. You need a ridiculous amount of research points, and after that, you need to quickly spam commercial stuff to make 25k/year, so it atleast looks like you tried. This game is really hard to do.
Year 2000. People are coming up with theories that disaster will strike the world in 2012. I, as President of America, think this is utmost ridicule. Besides that, we have everything you could possibly need to hold out against an invasion. People of America, I have a message for you. Change must be made. Since this random disaster freak demands a fusion plant in each major city, taxes will rise by 1000%.
