My main complaint with this game is that you never actually get to play with the cool abilities like Necrosis. Try as I might, I did not get any units to level 9 (Legendary) until the final wave of the final map. Getting to use a cool special ability to kill exactly 1 boss wave sucks. I recall Protector 1/2 having a better EXP gain curve.
If unit EXP gain was fixed this would be one of the best TD games out there.
The artwork is excellent but the game is WAY too slowly paced than your average "penguin launch". Unless I am doing something totally wrong it seems like it'd take forever to get maxed out on stuff.
This is one of my favorite Flash shooters now. It's fairly difficult (until you get the top tier gear), the graphics and game engine are very nice, and the bosses are fun.
The control scheme is difficult to get used to at first, but it's really not bad.
My main complaint is game balance. Multipath weapons are really weak compared to gatling/beam. Missiles are ok. Mines are useless. Out of the 3 pre-godtier ships, the one with health regen is massively dominant - you take a lot of damage in this game.
Cave of trial 5 is actually not hard. Get all ranged, do NOT use any melee. The sheer number of ranged attacks will both destroy all incoming enemies and keep the super goblin permanently juggled in the air. Occasionally the juggle will propel the super goblin in the wrong direction and he will sail over all your forces, then destroy your castle. If this happens just start over.
This game is infinitely more complicated than the first GemCraft but not more fun. It's too focused on the grind, if you don't have hundreds of hours to spend you dont really get access to much of the game.
This game felt WAY easier than the previous 2 bunny invasion games. I don't know if it's just that I'm familiar with the game mechanics now but it just seems EZMOAD.
This game appears silly and simple but it is actually really strategic (as well as luckbased) - getting the 100k is quite a challenge. It's a lot like Bejeweled or any of those other grid based games.
