Very similar to Totem Destroyer, yes, but I like the tweak that you just have to get the thing steady on the target platform.
It's also too short. Maybe add some kinds of blocks not seen in the Totem Destroyer games? Maybe a sticky block. That would be annoying. ;)
The artwork needs work, obviously, but the game is sound. Very nice for a first effort. A little creativity in the types of towers available would help, as would greater detail in the effects of upgrades.
Really? So I'm supposed to hobble around as a head and farm gold? It's not interesting and it's not fun. Yes, let me hit 'a' for a half hour and hobble around picking up coins.
I don't mind grinding. I don't mind farming. But you need to get the game fun before you require it.
Ditto everyone else's primary complaints.
Slow, then fun, then frantic, then impossible. Keep spawns away from current player position (maybe increase that distance via upgrades) and add health regen (again, via upgrades. Maybe replace current healing with regen.)
Nobody else has a problem with keys sticking, or the keyboard becoming unresponsive?
It's almost completely unplayable for me. It's like the game loses focus for anything but the mouse, and I have to waste a bullet just to regain control.
Kind of obnoxious, especially given that the tower can shift slightly but my piece can still only move a block's width at a time.
Reminds me of the game Triptych, though, which is a favorite of mine.
I had the not loading problem - seems to only be a problem for me with the first map. Also, once I won the game on the second map, easiest difficulty, I couldn't start a new game until I refreshed the page.
This has been a peeve of mine with scrollers for a loong time. Don't let me get hit by things I can't see offscreen, especially when I'm facing in that direction.
This is really pathetic gameplay.
