Ya know, I've played puzzles like this that weren't randomized, and after a certain number of lines it becomes impossible. Randomized... well, it can become impossible after two levels. Nice try.
Disappointing. The chain and kill counters are broken, and the 'alternating' feature doesn't do anything - just stay still, you'll see what I mean. I like the concept, but fix the bugs.
I gotta say, I don't get the point of opponents either.. it certainly doesn't seem I was actually playing _against_ someone. Was I playing against previous player's best times?
If the other player is actually doing that exact level at that moment, a minimal chat function would be nice.
Either way, I got through all 55 levels, and in maybe ten of them I had no opponent.. and I only had the opponent win once.
I guess I'm still missing something. I can max out blades and kill one type of enemy, but maxed out armor seems to do nothing unless I get the armor powerup... which also removes my blades.
Why did I evolve those again? Do those powerups now show up otherwise?
I'm so glad you have quality settings. Want to make them _do_ something, like get rid of the useless debris that makes this thing run at a snail's pace?
Controls are clunky, all the weapons are found instantaneously, no keyboard reloading, and when you're shot many times by giant robots... you're captured?
I played for ten minutes and still wasn't sure what I was doing. The powerups are too cryptic, and the smart bombs do nothing to the enemies.
And yes, it's very obviously inspired by flOw. That's not a bad thing, though.
I have to retract my previous comment. I haven't done the math, but I have been finding matches more easily. I suspect I was misunderstanding the "none" part of "all or none".
I've seen a bug a few times, though, where the screen will go dark at the end of a game.
I'd also agree with Grid. I don't want a time limit on this game. I want to go until I've either worked myself into a corner (if possible) or I've cleared all the cards. Maybe time how long that takes me, with a 10 or 15 second penalty added for each wrong guess.
And high scores! ;)
I think I'm missing something. Either that, or I end up with no possible moves a lot of the time. What if none of the cards match, and you don't have any of one of the shapes on the board?
