Nice engine. Runs smoothly on this computer, which can lag even on mouse avoidance games.
But... this is not a good game. It's not 3D in the least. The enemies are hard to see, and shots almost impossible to evade. The WASD controls make strafing difficult - but the arrow keys work, so I switched over to those.
One bug: Turn off the sound and the game... stops... working. I flew around for five minutes, running out of ammo and flying through the enemy base before I figured this out.
I like it, but it suffers too much from randomization. I just had a 70 followed very quickly by another 70 on top of it. Nothing I could have done about it.
As a first try, it's fine. No slowdown, responsive controls. But it wasn't engrossing enough for me to even want to finish my first game.
One suggestion: Have the 'enemy' spider go towards the nearest fly (or area rich with flies) instead of a random one.
Why does this game run so pathetically slow? I can have one guy on the screen and it will lag so badly the coins expire BEFORE THEY EVEN LAND.
Pathetic.
Not bad, but it slows down my system _very_ quickly. I'd assume a memory leak, but I'm not a programmer. (Nor was there any kind of activity in the game that would warrant a slowdown.)
I like it, but it needs a lot more polish.
Unlike Line Rider, which had no controls, this one allows you to create challenges. As such, you should really have a way to share the levels you create.
Given the high ratings, I must be doing something wrong... but no matter what I do, I get a zero on the triangle level.
It's not even frustrating, it's almost comical. "How's this?" "Nope, you fail."
