Another suggestion: When getting rid of outdated equipment, how about the option to either sell or dismantle the item for a % of the parts used. My OCD screams when I just throw away a +4 piece of armor!
It looks like we're on our home planet Terra, which can't be right as it's meant to not be dead... If that's correct, it *must* be the year 2343. Wait, WHAT?! (mind blown)
This game is fun, but very laggy. Though I prefer Firefox, I did notice improvement with Chrome (clearing the cache in FF works, too). The music and game concepts are great, btw! As for PVP, it's not 'live' - rather, it's you playing against another player's automated team. Skipping the real-time PVP, the game can still be played with a low server population. :)
So I've been paying attention to Watabou's creation of Pixel Dungeon and all the remakes/remixes/soft/shattered/goblin/etc. variants. One thing I really like that has come out is a town to start in (aka, level 0). It offers a healer, a shop, and now mini-quests. This concept would put this game 'over the top', and would allow players to gear up and go back into the dungeon. Combine that with a scroll of town portal (Diablo-style), and you've got a masterpiece. [+] this if other players would like to see this implemented.
I'd like to see a discussion board opened, so we can uniformly offer feedback and suggestions (such as equipment changing the look of the adventurer, getting that greedy merchant to actually BUY stuff, removing the strangely unnecessary scroll bar from the allocated player window, etc). I keep coming back to this game - the R#G/RNG usage makes replaying this game so much fun!
Definitely agree. I'm planning to continue working on this game and I'm loving all the suggestions but its a huge pain to scroll through this feed with its extremely limited functionality. Is a discussion board something I can open as the developer and I'm just missing the option somewhere or is this something the kong staff have to setup at our request? *edit* yeah I'm trying to scroll through this feed and collect up suggestions, plus people who PM me, plus people who shout me... its getting crazy lol.
Warrior: 'Here comes some archers, and I have no cover. I better use this handy scroll of teleportation.' *Teleports in between all of them* 'Uh-oh...' #DWID
For only 80 gold, I keep everyone out of my camp by blocking the bridge with bonfires. Now, those priestesses have to mingle more, and the adventurers are ready to go at the exit.
As your Commander, it would be only proper that I offer to assist the scientists and slaves with their English translations and grammar. Message me on my private channel if you accept this offer to improve the galactic conquering interface.
Commander, we only can win this war if we work together. Of course I'll contact you. Train with you. Make plans with and conquer the known and unknown universe. Sincerely Corporal Tutnix.
The start screen teases you with an IP address. Since it wouldn't come up as a webpage, I ran a traceroute on it. The IP address belongs to the United States Department of Defense. Here's hoping I don't get an unexpected visit over a game.
(response) On_Hover: mouse pointer condition variable that would allow for a pop-up text when 'hovering' over an entry or exit point. Kinda like a tooltip.
Got ya. What kind of information would you want from the tooltip? Component name? At one point I had considered adding custom names for input/outputs that a user could set. But that ended up being dropped due to the effort to implement.
@TheGrandestine - The opening sequence has a cursive script message that is approximately a paragraph long. I'm a speed reader; even I can't read it all at once... Two suggestions: 1) SLOW DOWN that one sequence so that we can read it. 2) Choose a darker font color and a different font -- I suggest "Rurintania", as it has more of a calligraphy based medieval feel to it. Oh, and WHEN is this coming to Android/iPhone platforms!!
On a serious note... here's some things you can add to make it more 'shiny': Reset/Restart button, adding mute sound and/or music under options, some type of On_Hover rule for each input and output node, some of the level descriptions don't fully explain what is needed.
Yes, I'm enjoying this game... a little too much!
glad you like it! we're still working on lag & performance issues... btw live PvP has been implemented since early June :)
