3/5, would be a good game, but doing well at all requires way too much luck *regardless of strategy*, completely destroying any balance or strategic interest the game might have had. In about an hour I went from thinking I'd never be able to get the hard/imp badges to having both plus a top 20 finish on the all time list (on a relaxed game). So... yeah.
How about a "fewest kills" stat, Kong? I got the Hard badge (on my second playthrough, first had >40 kills) but I wanna know how close I was. I wonder what the best possible is...
Click on fireball, then click somewhere else in the menu. It wastes your mana without giving you any benefit... the spell shouldn't activate unless I click on the map itself! Please fix this!
Acceptable game, but the catapult controls suck, units are annoying to control (for instance the worker leaving if the wall health ever reaches maximum), and the Scout thing just gets in the way if units are already coming. Also, "game over" doesn't mean "go ahead and try again"...
If the animals can have x or y legs (and you want to know the number of animals with y legs), and there are A total heads and B total legs, the answer is the difference between x*A and B, divided by the difference between x and y.
I thought this one was pretty fun, 5/5. The color coding and simplicity made it easy to see what was going on (unlike some situations in Frantic 2) and the bullet patterns were pretty interesting. Note to all those who are having trouble with the hard badge: you have to beat ALL levels, not just the last one... so try going back and replaying the earlier levels, because the game might not realize you did those.
3/5... it was a really good idea, and some of the puzzles were very well thought out, but there were also a few puzzles that made the player do things they really shouldn't have to do. It's cool that your game can interface with various parts of my computer, but if the solution to the puzzle is "I hope you have this thing on your computer, good, now use it" it feels less clever/fun and more annoying.
My Darwin strategy: stand in one place and just jump as high as you can and slam repeatedly. Heal if you need to but you shouldn't need to much because you can only get hurt near the ground. After that just try to herd all the enemies past the right side of the screen, then stand as right as you can and just spam slam again to finish them off. Easy :)
3/5 for an OK game with some major flaws. I don't like how the mouse controls everything - it makes it hard to dodge things while attacking, and swinging an enemy around also causes the character to move. The HP is also problematic because there is no bar (just a number) so it's not easy to quickly glance at, and because enemies can do a ton of damage without you even noticing.
