Very fun game, I like how there are so many different options on the ships (to allow different play styles) and weapons. Excalibur is a bit too powerful though, after taking many attempts trying to beat level 20 with a normal weapon, I beat it first try with Excalibur, and then beat Loki on the 2nd try with an Excalibur+Odin combo! :p
5/5. This game takes a pretty basic idea and really goes all the way with it. I like how it gets very difficult but never so hard that I felt the level was impossible. The immediate level restart was a really good idea because it let me just keep playing and trying to get farther each time without any annoying screens in between.
Terrible game, 1/5. Physics games do require a certain amount of careful positioning, but this game was far too sensitive to be fun. It took me a good half an hour to complete level 28 - WITH the solution open in another tab. I had every object matched up perfectly, but it still didn't work - ridiculous! The interface of moving objects around is also bad: having to rotate and move separately is annoying, the rotation is hard to control, and the icons got in the way when I was trying to carefully place things. For the last 15 levels I found myself going straight to the solution without even trying the puzzle. I wouldn't have played at all if not for the badges. Try harder next time.
WHAT THE **** LAG! I'm not talking "the game's a bit slow", I'm talking "it takes me well over a minute to run under a die because the game literally cannot run another frame while I am holding an arrow key". I was crushed by a lone normal die because I was not able to run under it fast enough, even though it was at the top of the screen when I started trying. This is a game-destroying bug and whoever programmed this was a total idiot for not putting in a pause feature (seriously, if there is a problem like this, how are we supposed to fix it if we can't pause?) or at least a quality button. I had this game rated 5/5 before because I thought the concept/artwork was pretty cool, but now I am changing the rating to a 1/5 because it is absolutely unplayable garbage once you get a few thousand points.
Also, I'm really not fond of the upgrade/selling mechanic... at least once I have accidentally upgraded rather than sold a gun because of being too hasty. I'd rather have some kind of button setup rather than having to mouseover the gun and shift+click.
I had a weird glitch where my guy warped to the right side of the screen and I could only get him about halfway back to the left before he warped back. (Fortunately it fixed itself at the end of the level...) This game is an interesting concept but it ends up being pretty basic clicking/waiting if you buy enough elevators and decent guns, so it ends up being boring at the end.
Got 122 :) Yay hard badge. This is a really tough game, but very simple (easy to learn yet tough to play well), so kudos to the creator for that. The only real problem I have is that it's kind of hard to control the spacebar properly while using WASD. Otherwise very fun and precise.
Very fun game (5/5), got all the badges in about 15 hours. I found the bosses kind of easy actually, though - I beat Brutus by just getting him against a wall and spamming the sword whenever I could, and Gordzak went down surprisingly quickly with the second ice sceptre. I noticed a couple of weird bugs (sometimes enemies go through walls for instance) but my only real complaint is that the walking speed is a bit slow.
49 sprites, no badge. Grr. It's annoying that there's no obvious stats/status screen accessible from the menu... I feel like to have any chance of getting the badge I'd have to play the entire thing again and just hope it works.
Got all golds. Total time of 292 seconds. I like the puzzles in this one a lot (more than the puzzles in the first Open Doors, actually). 5/5 for addictiveness :P
Okay. There is seriously TOO MUCH STUFF on the floor! I don't need to see every round I've ever shot, especially if I'm going to be holding the trigger of an automatic weapon for the entire level (which I am because there are so many enemies). Add that to the dead enemies (which look just like real ones, by the way) and all the powerups and it can get really hard to see what's going on. I'm going to bet that that's what is causing all the lag too. And can you please make bombs do splash damage? Thanks.
I beat Shadow Lord Xin without taking ANY damage, and using only the most basic attack. How? Well, I was a level 30 ranger. I basically had high enough speed that I could just run around to each corner in a circle, and every time I got to the next corner I was ahead by enough that I could fire off an arrow and then quickly start going to the next corner before Xin caught up to me. I dealt around 190 damage each time and eventually defeated him. It's a delicate strategy, though, because if you let him hit you just once he'll stun you and then you can't get far enough away from him to avoid taking constant damage. Also, if you get too close to the other three enemies, they'll start dealing you a lot of damage and there's really not that much you can do since you still have to avoid Xin. I'm not going to lie, it took me a couple of tries to actually pull it off... but when I did it worked great.
Fun game. For challenge 6 I think the best way is to use the fast clicking strategy to destroy one big orb as fast as possible, and after that you can grab a group of orbs on the same part of your ship and use them as a shotgun to quickly break larger orbs apart.
This isn't a hard badge, this is an ENDURANCE BADGE... and it deserves to be in capitals just because of how much time it takes. At least you get two hard badges out of it. This game isn't really too fun for me, because it's so long and I just spend most of my time mashing units anyway. Oh well.
