Looooove the "speed up text" mechanic. Awesome. I'll use it myself when i code games. :) Also, you hit the spot with you-know-who in the end. Childhood fear. Good game. ^^
Next complain: The mission where you're supposed to protect ppl repairing windmills (or something like that), you're given zero chance to prevent the ships that attack exactly where your repairmen stands from outside the screen.
When levelling up, it seems like the game isn't updated on you achieving the required level for some upgrades until buy another skill. I.o.w: Buying skills seem to update other skills on you having achieved the levelrequirement, instead of the levelup doing that itself. Oo
You have a bug where the summoned units (at max level) don't throw their spears. I upgraded it right before i quit and every time since, it's been git or miss if that ability actually comes into play. First i thought i might have to check the upgrade screen after login to "reactivate" but even that doesn't seem to work all the time.
Bug: When you reach a new level, the bar shows the max of the next level, not the current. It should switch while the xp is filling up. Also, im not sure the ff button is working properly. Either there's slowdown or the ff doesn't get it right if active when a new wave comes.
Nice game though. Very addictive. :)
Little (layer?) glitch. If you mouseover Rogan when "B, LotV" attacks in the final battle it makes "AM-G"'s bar show instead and get stuck until his attack.
Very enjoyable game. Keeps the hope up for other new AS-programmers such as myself. :) Hope you get a sequel out easier now that the groundwork has been fleshed out.
Lastly a suggestion: Perhaps add a "head, body, hands, legs" description under the items. Some of them aren't perfectly clear until you try them on. Like the comparison tooltip though. ^^
I killed it. It respawned about 3 times. I had maxed out fire mages in two bottom rows, with a sacrificial barracks in front of those two. I filled the sacrificial barracks with a lev 5 mage and the boss seemed happy only destroying that. Never built barracks on the vertical. A couple of more fire mages in the starting tower + rain spells was enough for me.
@palaeontology: The boss at lev 20 takes a shitload of damage. Build a "sacrificial barracks" in front of the others. When he reaches it he'll autodestroy it and warp back to the start. Other than that, it's the usual tactics of fire mages + rain spell. Rince repeat.
Good enough to keep my focus. I'm currently only wondering 3 things: 1) When upgrading the units in the unit screen. Shouldn't they rather get some + % in effectiveness than a new lev. If you upgrade units in the beginning, you only make them unbuyable. 2) Doesn't the 20 vs 280 max damage of lev 5 archers vs magicians mean you'll never buy archers? 3) Will there ever be an implementation of some kind of regen on the trooops, alt "heal spel" ?
Gets kind of annoying to see the tower fire, but no damage being dealt. If the game frains from accepting "damage out of range" then perhaps we can get rid of the animation indicating a "hit? Also, what's up with the delay of firing between close enemies?
Not a bad idea.
