Dammit, why are there ALWAYS people who cheat? On a related note, flowercup, I'm guessing you're not a hardcore idler (heh) - I kept AItG on for months at a time, much to the distress of my parents.

I'm disappointed in those who complain about things in this game without even trying to back their points. I mean, if you hate the game and really need to vent, at least make your points believable! On a separate note, I originally thought I'd hate the game but found much amusement in planning my vampire's growth.

Also btw pets can be found by fighting "bosses", monsters with x50 health that don't regen health ever. You're expected to fight them over and over. Poison and Burn works well because it persists over battles. Also, buying pets would be very hard to balance and not "random" like I think the dev wanted. I also thing tehgamemasta is wrong - the 0/10 pets is how many unlocked (one for each zone?) @barzini they're supposed to go down in multiple fights. Also unless Micarus has actually gotten there I doubt that strategy.

@joequincy: Well, it becomes Search, Search, Search... Attack, Speed Attack, Fight, Speed Attack... over and over again instead if you PvP. Or Hunt/Fight, SA, Hunt/Fight, SA, Attack, Nuke, SA every 30 min if you PvB. And you get to watch a pretty bar move up! In all honesty, it's pretty fun to watch the pretty bar move up, because of the corresponding sword of infinity+1 that is dispensed when it fills.

Why are ties losses? It's not like the monsters care or the defenders know in PvP if there's a tie, but it's really irritating to put a nuke into beating someone and tying, or even without a nuke.

A forum should be added! This is, after all, a multiplayer game, and I think it'd help people suggest and help eachother better than the top 5 comments and almost exclusively in-party post (because asking stuff like "what drugs are best" is a red flag for opponents). Also, Liberals are the strongest ATM. JOIN US....

Developer response from delosford

I'll look into making an offsite forum, but won't be adding one in-game. I can probably just set one up on my hosting, though I'm not sure I want it eating the extra bandwidth.

NEVERMIND, after finally figuring out level 7, and finishing, the ending was so great it made me dizzy. That makes the game good. Very good. 5/5 for sure.

Mixed feelings about the game. On one hand it's a well-made game, with a wonderful message. On another hand, it's very short and simple, making me question giving it a 5/5, though I decided I will. On another hand, it's poor rating makes me think there are lots of haters. On another hand, that might be people rating on gameplay. On another hand, it's rating is pretty good if most are 5/5 or 1/5. On another hand, that's still a lot of haters.

@bloodyhog@wolfdog: I agree with wolfdog - that should be implemented. However, at later levels PvP gets better, so I would say the game is better than most games (After all, you spend most of your time in higher levels). Bloodyhog, SHUT UP ALREADY. You've already said to me that you like the game, but want to make the devs suffer. Why? WHY? Also, overly expensive packs doesn't make the devs money - it makes them lose out because less people will buy them, but it makes free players have a better chance to win, because you must pay a crap-ton in order to get a large advantage. Result? Most people don't pay a crap-ton so free players can PvP and win.

I would say this game is actually pretty amusing just watching. However, I think this game would benefit from a bigger bloodlust bar, because it's frustrating to know that someone who decides to click hunt-speedattack over and over in the middle of the night will get about 30% more exp/stuff. Also, I think a faster grind-fight would be nice, because it's also irritating that I spend more time waiting for the battles to load than clicking speed attack and hunt. It would also be nice if you could make more choices more rapidly, because right now I basically make a decision once every couple days or so when I actually choose what to buy.

It's also moderately depressing that people appear to upvote mostly already stated things that have momentum without much thought to either those or other comments.

@PK and Fabio: This game seems to be more like something that would be idle. You have about as much influence as an idle game. I've played for awhile and it's SHOULD pretty boring, but it sucks you in and is fun because you can watch your grow. However, to reach maximum growth you need to come back every 4 and a bit hours - WAY to often. Also, it's incredibly easy to pay to win. A low-level who puts 100 bucks into this (and I've seen plenty of people paying 30 bucks a month or more into games) has a frightening advantage.

@Gansebom: You have a somewhat valid point, but I completely disagree. The problem is not slow energy, the problem is this is practically idle. You sit and wait, then click hunt-speed-hunt-speed until you're out. I would prefer even 5 min per 3 bloodlust - if it actually DID something. but all you get is watching your guy grow, no thought, hardly any choice. It's, as i've said, pretty much an idle game and should either work towards that or have more tactical battle. Also, the energy regen is fairly decent: other games have you wait anywhere from 10 min to an hour and a half for a battle (but you get a huge energy stores later so you can play 1/day) to like 30 sec to click something, once, to 8 min ot do anything. Really it doesn't matter to me, as long as you have at least a 12 hours between maxed energy and decent gameplay. No energy is actually worse most of the time because then the devs must force grinding to make money.

I think if they marketed it as a more passive game (as the wiki puts it), they'd get better reception. It's pretty decent if you say it was SUPPOSED to be hunt-speed-hunt-speed.... and you're mostly watching your character grow. If so, they could market the interaction as new and moderately interesting. But they didn't. So the game for what it was meant to be according to what it is stated to be is a festering pile of dog shit. A little sad, really.

Anahadri, it does only have a few problems. I think they can't be fixed though. The problems I think are: 1. A lack of thought. Hunt, Speed attack, Hunt, Speed attack... forever. This can't be fixed unless they suddenly revamp the whole game mechanic, and if they do they might as well make a new game. 2. Premium Content. With some money you can blow through enemies in moments, and most premium stuff also lowers levels. Basically, pay to win. 3. Crappy time restraint. The game demands your attention every 10 hours. This seems just like more moneygrubbing. A personal problem is that they spent so much time or money on art, but ignored everything else a game needs. If they spent the same time on gaming... we'd have a 4-5 star game. It saddens me.

So, while level to level matching is a definite issue, there already is a pairing system - it's just that it's based off duel points, not level. Please stop commenting about this and make a thread. In fact, I'll make the thread, you just support it. Bam.
