Small note: The reason Axeman's stun-speed combo is so good is because it is pretty high exponential growth. You have stun reducing damage taken that grows with speed, stat addition and perk addition to speed. In addition to that, your attack grows too, making overall damage compared to enemy damage as a % of health go up by a power of 4, which is pretty high (most games have at most squared or cubed)
Fun game, though there are hundreds of basically identical and better ones. Needs the addition of something new. I think bosses is a fantastic idea, though I think more "fighting" in general would be great. I mean, you're already making the main "path" to follow based on killing stuff, most obstacles based on killing stuff. Why not add, say, strong enemies that take multiple hits, as another obstacle? A zombie with an "attack" animation? Swords and shields that let you blow up tough zombies and obstacles?
Oh, and the other things I found frustrating: It was hard to scroll, making me lose that crucial life between 2 and 3 flags, and no speed up button for those times you are literally waiting for the golem to get tackled. Other than that, fantastic game!
Really fun but you need to scale down health. Would you rather have about 2% increased damage, 1% decreased damage taken, or 50% increased health? Bingo! The health. I'd scale it to something like 5 or 10 health, not 50.
To switch to crossbow, press shift. I loved how it was optimal to use two weapons (at least in the beginning), and would recommend making that really prominent. I agree enemies need buffs, but I think they should be able to attack you exactly once if you have a maxed flail spinning and have high damage and numbers. That way the game is sped up and more action-filled instead of slowed by healthier enemies.
Interesting redo of Hired Heroes. However, far too easy - I just spammed any type of unit and got through half the game. I don't see a reason to continue. Even if it gets harder later, shouldn't you put some sort of thought into the beginning?
Yeah :( We published the game a month ago. Until last week we were only being played by people who like adventure games, and our rating was steadily improving. we hit 3.8 and were still growing, and then presumably someone from Kong management noticed and played the game, and loved it. So they decided to add badges and put us in featured and suddenly everyone noticed us. We started getting a lot of views, on a quite particular game which isn't to everyone's tastes...
Oh, and a constructive response: Either balance the game to have more or less constant strategy or have an option to remove autopause. IT is horrible to have to wait for the game to progress to unleash your horde, but it's even more so when you have to watch while waiting.
Insectosaur spawn are RIDICULOUS. A double-tap kills anyone next to the base for most likely half the cost of the slaughtered, and you can send literal screens of them very quickly.
just like uh... don't tell the FBI or anything. that would probably be bad.
