I've gotten every card since I started on kongregate but this is just too boring. I like the idea and it gets points for being something new but the gameplay just isn't that fun. Nice try, I guess. 3/5.
The game is great, but seeing as you didn't create it I'm only going to grade you on the presentation, which is so-so. I appreciate the graphics but for a simple card game they are way too intensive and slow down speed of play. 3/5
I like the game, it is well made, looks good, and played very smoothly, at least for me. However, on every difficulty except for easy you run into a point in the game where there is nothing left to do, all squares are filled with maxed out buildings and all tech has been researched. I gave the game 3 stars, if there was more to do I would rate it higher.
Ugh, I finally beat this game and now feel justified in telling everyone how big a piece of crap it is. Do you like holding a and the left mouse button simultaneously? If so, then you'll love ether cannon. If, like me, you find this boring then you'll agree that this game sucks. Why this got badges, I'll never guess.
p.s. I think that the first twenty levels of this game can be beaten without firing a single shot, though i'll never have the patience to test this theory.
I gave this game a two instead of a four because although it looks great the visual representation on the screen doesn't accurately portray the game situation, the little triangles are larger than they appear, bouncing off of walls and breaking your lines when, visually, they are a short distance away. In a game like this, thats a dealbreaker. Worth the ten minutes it takes to get the badges and not much else.
I actually found this game less fun than the original, which I really enjoyed. I like the concept of thunder finishes but it would be nice to know what time you were shooting for. Similarly, some levels you just have to die a couple times before you even know where to go, which I think is indicitive of poor game design. Maybe a basic map for each level would help? Nothing too detailed but something that at least lets you know where platforms are. I think that if you're going to release a sequel to a game like this there cuold have been some real improvements made instead of just creating a bunch of new levels. On a completely different note, why the konregate people chose to give this a card and badges before Sonny, a game which people have been begging for achievements on, is totally beyond me.
Everything in this game can be solved with a lead pipe. Including your desire to to play it. Just smash yourself in the head with the pipe and you've had about as much fun as playing thing-thing 4.
