I think some sort of power meter based on how long you hold the escape key would be good. Also, sometimes it actually is impossible to complete 3 jumps as the first 2 don't let you see the third jump area and where you landed after the first one makes it impossible. It's more like jump x clears obstacle x with obstacle y viewable. Jump y clears obstacle y in while viewing obstacle z. Jump z leads to death no matter what.
Idk if anyone understands, but simply some points are impossible if you can't view a larger area. So viewing a larger area to be able to plan out the jumps further in advanced would be good.
Activating all lights and waiting to see if any cars crash was really effective in passing levels. So yeah, clicking all lights and waiting are all that are required to beat this game.
Nope, not gonna hit my keys that rapidly for this. Had progress from another time, but based on the speed this computer gives me it just doesn't seem worth it.
Can't get Lattice's speed score. All you need to do is go left, hit space, left, space, up and over till you get to the door, hit space, jump right, hit space, go down, hit space, go to second door going left, go up, go right (bit summarized for when you double hit space and other small details). I just find it really annoying that I know exactly what to do, and can't do it in time. Done it in 51 seconds, but need 50.
Would like some better controls. Toggling auto-fire would be nice too for later weapons. "Q" could be slow down time and "R" the boost. Maybe "Z" should be used for weapons as well, just don't like holding down the space bar.
Any help with picking locks? Do you hold or just tap "d" when you hear the clicking sound? Do you hit "d" before, during, or after hitting the clicking sound? I've just tried this a lot of times and can't figure out exactly how to do it.
Against the snake-like boss, kill all but one section and then let yourself heal. Try to kill the turret on the section, but you don't want to hurt it too much until you are nearly healed. The drones and turrets will still attack it.
@ Sneezing Bee : Yeah, seems to be that way sometimes. Just had an enemy do it at least 6 times against me. Worst part was they had counter so me cards took 2 damage each time they attacked.
To show how unbalanced the computer leaders are, I'll use the Lord of Tartarus. He enfeebles 1, rallies all bloodthristy 1, and strikes 1. The strike will do 2 because the unit is enfeebled. Then if there is a bloodthirsty on the field that can attack, 2 more damage is done for a minimum of 4 damage in one turn if the unit doesn't avoid everything with evade and flight. So if you somehow manage to have a unit with over 4 defense survive, you now have to deal with any effects of other cards. There is a card capable of dodging and evading, but it has 1/4 chance of not being hit by both. I think it has 3 hit points, 5 attack points, and takes 4 turns before it can attack. So if it avoids that 1/4 chance of being hit by both 4 times, then you have a unit out on the field. I really think it needs to be changed somehow so that the computer doesn't have above a 60% chance of winning or something.
I don't like seeming like I want attention, but please rate up for a more-balanced AI.
This games actually a bit glitchy. The glitches are usually in favor of the computer as well (may have had one on my side). The developer should just double check some things, but the game plays fairly well overall and glitches are not a big problem.
The computer's commander cards annoy me. They are better than what we can get (in the missions not labeled missions.), they have no wait for their abilities to kick in, and can dramatically change the tide of battle with weaken, strike, and rally (especially when combined). The commander should not be able to stop a card from attacking by lowering it's attack points to 0 or below nor should they be allowed to single-handedly kill a unit. So yeah I'd like them to be weaker or for the player to be able to get better commanders.
There are seven floors in this game. It's important to know that so you have money to spend on the shafts. Underneath "Ready for Battle" it will tell you how many floors are on the next level.
My personal strategy is to buy the basic turrets for a while. Then I upgrade 1 turret on each level when I have money (going from basic lv 1 to lv 2 costs the same as getting the machine gun turret and the next levels of basic and machine gun cost the same). So yeah, pretty much keeping the cost equal for each floor is important.
Something I'd recommend to change in this game is have a checkpoint every 3 or 5 levels to make it a bit easier. Maybe a checkpoint only on level 10 even. It's just nice to have that safety-net. On my winning play-through, I didn't have a single enemy reach an elevator or shaft, so it's not a huge deal once you get a few things down.
Oh, also hold down the left mouse button to have your guy keep firing.
Needs a delayed reaction when changing to a new game. Also needs a counter. Just very frustrating and cheap over-all. The games are just too different and timing is too important. Also, I've lost by certain things nearly touching certain things rather than them actually colliding. So in addition to everything else, it just plain cheats.
When I think about it, the player is the aggressor here. They don't even try to fight back till fairly late in the game. So yeah, if you win you annihilate a species. Just makes me feel like a bad guy.
I really don't see the point in most of these levels. It's basically guessing until you guess as many times as you need to get the level right. I just don't like to have to guess that much. Not bad premise or game, just the levels are annoying.
I don't like that you can be forced to die by sheer luck. I don't think it's possible to survive when there are lasers on either side and one about to fire from above. Sure there's a split second to move, but the elephant doesn't move that quickly. Think there should be some sort of limit as to where they can spawn so this does not happen.
Anyone know how to get the one hit boss kill? Doesn't work using the nuke on the first boss on the bosses level. Just would be nice if someone told me where the first boss is/ and or what I should use to kill a boss in one hit.
So the Sun King dies, and they keep on building. You'd think that after everything they'd all give up when their king is dead. Should be like chess where taking the king ends the game.
