I got through the first 4 levels before discovering the upgrade system. Was much easier with the upgrades. All but certain upgrades cost 1 star. Need to buy in order. Any stars work for getting stars.
Badge description is a lie. "Earn at least 1 perfect medal in an amateur track, and at least bronze on the others" Each bronze counts as 1 and silver as 2 awards you need 14 to unlock the 8th song. So you need either 2 perfects and 4 silvers or some other combo. You don't need only one perfect is the point. So the badge is incorrect. Going into pro to get the extra points is possible, but the badge only refers to the amatuer songs. As grammatically "others" refers back to "amateur track". It's just a cruel thing to do.
Conclusion is really a bad idea. The only way it would be relevant is if the time left over from the first three levels were useable. I'm doing the first two rooms at near perfect speed and not succeeding. It may be possible, but it's just bad. 1 start until it's fixed. Since timing is the problem I'm encountering, time it should be fixed in the next 2 minutes. Will play later today to grind out the ending if not fixed by then, then 1 star stays.
I got the badge with the broken screen. I was already really close though with like 140 before. So I may have been able to buy the proper upgrades to reach 151. Finished quest and got choice of any missed kongpanion. I have missed none.....
So yeah, got stuck at 1711 bc. Raised stats so high that it have me 2,000 culture points. Used a few hundred and then all the meters broke as they couldn't handle those new numbers. Still added the levels to 400+. Just it couldn't figure out what to do with those numbers.
Leveling up takes too long. Getting to the next level isn't exciting if it takes a while. Specific goals and an unknown bonus for leveling up are a bit harsh. Giving 5 tasks and only needing 4/5 to progress would be good. Giving up for now as sick of being stuck.
I don't get the masochistic desire that so many gamers have. Trying to get to a basic goal for the sake of knowing you did so, does not appeal to me. If there is more to the game, then fine. To me, this would be best as a mini-game in a larger game that optionally allows you to unlock something that can enhance the experience in the main game. So this needs a better "carrot on a stick" to me.
Hollywise length- 2:02, score 6110, rank gold. Truth or dare length- 1:45, score 7856, rank silver. This is nonsensical. Longer songs should have potential for a higher score. While difficulty would have less notes proportionally (from harder to easier), it's still hard to rationalize. Judging by multiple standards without indicating what one or the other is makes this ridiculously tedious. I can do better at songs, but I would quit if I didn't think I was close to the end goal. I don't want to put the split-second timing in because I'd hit the keyboard too hard and too often. I think I can get the badge, I just don't know if it's worth the effort as I'm not sure of my goals.
Just scored 1000 above my bronze and got a bronze. It's only 1000 less than my one gold. So yeah, really confusing or unclear what I'm supposed to be doing. Yes better and all, but how much?
I'd say it's a decently large fault that it doesn't tell you what the scores are for the ranks. Sure there's the meter to help indicate multiplier, but that doesn't settle things. Ending with x4+ may still only be a bronze or unranked.
For some reason fishing just stopped working. 400k+ score when I'm trying to reach daily amount. Refreshed and tried changing files. Got one more bite when I went to inventory and back. 34/5000 fatigue. Any ideas?
Been down for quite a few days now for one reason or another besides brief periods of time. I know this game takes too much of my time, so this may help me quit. I've known it takes too much of my life for a while now, so I've known I should quite. These errors may help me and many others quit.
I spent a while trying to figure it out. I zoom out my screen so I can see more and don't have some things go away when looking at other things. The game loaded at what would be 100% size, but I was using 90% screen. I was clicking all over the book like crazy thinking something would start the game. So it may be a Firefox issue, game issue, Kongregate issue, or Flash issue. Thought I'd try posting this to let someone know.
Thanks for the response. Still having trouble getting the game to acknowledge it's changed. Changed accounts, refreshed page, open and closed browser, and restarted the computer so far.
I misspelled a word in the previous response. No, Fishing was not changed. If you get a "Nothing GET!" result in Fishing, that's because you failed to get a perfect on a special item. If you press the button at the right time (that is, in the perfect zone), you will NEVER get a "Nothing". If you press the button at the wrong time, then there can be two different results: the bar turns green and you still get the item (and your perfect streak is broken), or the bar turns red and you get nothing (in case it's a special item, or your timing is far off).
