Word of warning to new players: this game seems less than half done. There are 3 screens of updates (Economy, House, and 'untitled') but only one screen is actually done, and the other two are still blank. This is ok for a quick play as long as you understand it's nowhere near finished. The initial mechanics and concept are quite nice though.
Dear lord god, please give me an undo button. I've wasted so much time due to mis-clicks. Let it be a purchaseable in-game, I don't mind. Even better, let it be a multi-undo - 5 or 10 steps back would be great.
You can go through the entire game and get a decent score just by holding down the accelerate key. Nice level design but not really a game, more of a demo. explosions cause no damage etc.
Another reason I have to stop playing this game - after a reset / prestige, it takes 300+ clicks to get back to where I was before. Now my clicking finger is aching. Your game is harming its players!
You've got the seeds of a good game, and a good monetisation implementation. I want to like it, but I can't. It is confusing working out the herb and potion prices - there are multiple similar small bottles & on the right hand side, all images are overlaid (most of the time) by 'Auto'. Suggestions:
a) Give the herbs & potions names!
b) Eliminate the left column! I love the central 'desktop' - make that the main focus. Let me level up by clicking the herb / potion images in the central space.
c) Display prices & levels on the icons in the centre.
d) 'Research new herb' / 'Research new potion' could be moved to icons at the top.
e) maybe allow player to connect herbs / potions with lines showing the flow of products.
f) Eliminate the right column! Herbs & potions could carry a max storage, shown visually by a line filling up (starting with eg 50 units max, upgradeable). This would allow the entire game to be focused on the central alchemic desktop space.
Bug report: Every time I load this game, it reverts back to a save state where I have 21.4T cash and 485 Alien points. I have tried the shift+click hard reset, restarting Chrome, importing a save state from further along in the game, but nothing works. Until the game can save properly I can't get any further.
I also thought the A and D keys were broken. Not so. They are only activated (silently) after you get 50 Alien Points and activate Overview mode (another silent activation)
Nice balance between difficulty and game flow. I was completely stumped at the start, when it's not clear what to do, but after solving a couple of puzzles, all the rest came quite quickly. I liked the hint tag on the noticeboard - took me a while to notice it was updating itself. (hint hint for newbies).
Bug report: (New player, when making first purchase of Temple building). Temple guide/tutorial pops up: "Use Your Knowledge. You can now access the University (menu). Click the red book button to open it." I can't get rid of it. I have pressed University button and various other buttons - the Store, the Champions button, the Settings, turned on and off Special Effects, nothing gets rid of the tutorial blocking half the screen. I have closed the window, quit and restarted Chrome and reloaded the game but it is still there.
EDIT: I discovered a resolution: purchasing something in the University screen closes the tutorial on the main screen. That wasn't obvious from the tutorial description.
MOAR STORY CHAPTERS! I lost interest in this game a long time ago but i keep coming back hoping more story chapters have come out. I love the writing, it reminds me of certain old school sci fi series where in every episode the hero is overwhelmed at the start, but has become an order of magnitude more powerful by the end - only to face a yet more powerful enemy in the next book. E.E Doc Smith's Skylark series comes to mind. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skylark_(series)
Bug report: There seems to be a bug in the new version - physical /skill training isn't working properly when offline. Skills that are 1-capped will progress as normal (millions of levels) offline, but a late skill (that isn't 1-capped) will only progress by a few dozen levels (when offline), even with 20k clones assigned to it. It should be progressing far quicker, even with the offline speed reduction.
All I have in the world is a single hotel room, and a chicken. Which happens to be level 200. That single chicken produces roughly 1.77 quintillion eggs / second, more than every other chicken in the world could do in a year, and pulls in more dollars per second than there are atoms in the universe. Nah, I don't think the farm is overpowered at all.
So I'm digging in the jungles of Borneo, in a layer dated at 13,000BC, and I find 'Jack the Ripper's Hat'. Somehow I don't think so. 0/10 for historical accuracy which is unforgivable in a game specifically about archaeology.
Follow-up bug report: On reloading the game and flying to a nearby planet, I defeated a minor ship, and was given the Bogotarh end-game winning message "You have won the game." I chose to continue, and noticed the Jaser missing document quest was gone, and the treasure hunt final quest at TH was back (it had gone missing some time ago).
Bug report: Fighting for light side, final mission on Bogotarh. Lost to their commander. Brings up an 'abort mission' button. Pressing it repeats the message to abort. There's no other way to continue. I had to reload the game to get out of the loop.
sorry about that RedTomato, we will fix it to make it more obvious :)
