Enjoyable, if a bit easy--even for a simple-minded guy like me. My instinct places this at 3.5, but I'm not a fan of teasing partial games on Kong for full purchases in an app store, so I gotta round down. 3/5
Totally addictive and perfect for sneaking in a few rounds at work. I'm having a repeated glitch though: upload of scores is very spotty, waiting and waiting for rankings to come in (at least on Chrome). But still 4/5 (and 5/5, if the waiting-to-contact-server issue can be resolved)!
I'm usually put off by the "philosophical" tag, but this game resonates for me. A testament to good writing, the lessons are relevant summaries of a level's solution without coming off "preachy." The music is solid--not stellar, but better than the stereotype of "Zen/Buddha" clips out there. True, it's a once and done, but time nicely-spent and not wasted. And I can't help but think how great a paring this would be with Doodle God. 4/5
Fun. Solid visuals, and cute in an odd way. My biggest request would be to ditch either armor or defense (not both) and add a "range" skill -- something to increase how far you can attack. The highest weapon I had went to 8, I think. I would have loved more. Well executed (so to speak). 3/5
Awww... Usually, I don't like games with a "story" forced upon it, but this end took me by surprise, and I was kinda touched. Bumped up a point for it :) 4/5
Really, really quite clever. I'm always happy to see an innovation in a puzzle game, and this accomplishes it quite well! My only recommendation would be a snap-to-corner system that might give more accuracy when making folds. (And some more color would be nice too). But great fun! 4/5
My experience--little correlation between gameplay and sound. Can you keep a beat? Great--jump on the beat. Know more about music and composition? Great--jump off-beat and call it "counterpoint." The animation is cute but utterly simplistic. This isn't a game so much as something to do while listening to the composer's music, if you're someone who listens to this type of music. 2/5. (If I add my musical preference, I'd score lower--but to each their own).
As always, nicely drawn, but this adds nothing to the series--not even a change in music, which would be nice for a game with the word "music" in the title. 2/5
yes, some server overload :/
