I had a lot of fun with this, though truthfully, you need to ramp up the difficulty significantly. You've done a great job with the graphics and character physics, but as some have mentioned, it's lacking in the originality department. If you go on to a sequel, it'd be great to see what you can do with new characters--also, maybe a more complex way to approach the gravity/water/wind environment than just switches. But I think this was a very nice intro to your work! 3/5
Very well done with fine graphics and music! But ultimately, the gameplay echoes that of Fireboy & Watergirl--one of the best series I've played here. F&W adds complexity to the puzzle element (beat-the-clock mode, simultaneous left/right hand mode). P&M adds a story, but ultimately, the same story we've seen in so many games. That said, wonderful work, and a great way to spend time this afternoon! 3/5
I'm a bit disappointed. At first, I thought it could be a nonogram starter for kids 12 and under, but for adults, 2/5. Then, I thought that was harsh, and bumped up to 3/5. But the problems are still there in Level 24, and I gotta drop back down to 2/5. Lovely graphics, as before. Music seems very repetitive--I think it's because the shift between the fast and slow beats is very abrupt and noticeable. There's good humor in here! Hoping you can round it all out in the next edition!
Congrats, Juicy--another great reinterpretation of launch and upgrade. Love the colors, love how the pace of the music matches gameplay and great shoutout to Burrito Bison. Another outstanding game! 5/5
Very well done! I didn't know what to expect with the simple description of a "point-and-click," but there's good stuff in here. I'll agree with the comments that the chapter's a bit too short and the solution to the door is counter-intuitive (and if I'm being real picky, you *gotta* correct the spelling of "Calendar"), but I'm definitely looking forward to the next episode! 4/5
I think your potential challenge here is that from the user standpoint, it's a bit too long to distinguish between upgrades. And that next level siren...oy, that's annoying. But well executed, and best of luck with LD! 3/5
Nifty and cute. The theme's there, but I'm wondering how voters will respond to level-by-level evolution for the enemy: is it going to be innovative enough to sway people? Don't know, but congrats on a well-executed complete project, and best of luck at LD!
My $0.02: I'm with the group that's seen this before, a quasi William & Sly, forcing a storyline into a platformer Any storyline. The master could be dying; or happy; or clueless--it makes no difference to the gameplay. Decent, not overwhelmingly wonderful graphics & music. 2/5
Also, a comment from the LD perspective: you've created an upgrader, but the theme is "Evolution." I think you might get some challenges on that. But any participant in LD (well, almost any) is a hero for me, so best of luck!
Fun, but it takes a bit of getting into. Two comments from the user perspective: 1) I'm still not sure what the "learning" upgrade does; 2) The restart from Stage 1 every time is a killer--maybe a save every few levels?
Okay--and the review: it is *impossible* not to enjoy this! Breadth of selection; differential physics; music variation; difficulty at the user's discretion; Easter Egg after Easter Egg after Easter Egg. 5/5!
Utterly cute. Looking for something with a bit of a challenge, but not overly easy, and this fit the bill. Nice progression through difficulty, and I like that the music keeps it upbeat without becoming a kid's song. Very nice! 4/5
A lot of fun--really a lot of fun. I know everyone's harped on Zelda, and I have to agree with that. (I think it's the stairs--it's such a recognizable Zelda 1 cue, and just a different shape might have neutralized negative comments). But again, a great jaunt. 4/5.
