To expand on what Crocka said, one nice feature to combat the lag would be a coin/power up collector. It is a great game, but when the lag hits, you can shoot coins/power ups long enough that should *should* earn them and still not collect them. Also, the power up alert could be better, or in-game instructions denoting what key activates it would help. As it stands, it's so small that I can't tell, and I've done a screencapture and enlarged it. Great game overall though!
The system does lag when you draw, mooch82 is right. That makes having one life absolutely stupid. Could be a cute and entertaining game, but I don't have the time or patience to keep buying lives due to system lag.
I don't know how people are lvl'ing their battlemage up quickly. She's a full level behind the warrior and cavalier... Naturally, grinding doesn't resolve this. 4/5 for the aforementioned char balance issues.
I didn't think it was possible to make a more repetitive and boring game than Geek Punt or Smash or whatever the prequel was called. . . Clearly I was wrong. Very very wrong.
Played it for a few hours and I'm not really impressed. No offense, but the art for female characters is dreadful. You gave linebackers fantasy armor. If that weren't bad enough, this (like too many other games) wants to make money hand over fist for virtual items. That means that in the long run, you'd be better off buying a console and games. That also means that you don't need much skill to play the game, you can simply buy your way through it. The targeting system is mediocre and the monsters are the exact same as so many other games of this genre (i.e. nothing was unique). Gigathorn provides some great insight onto other reasons that made this lackluster, but overall, my rent means more to me than a game.
Originally I gave this game 5/5 because of the unique storyline, the great graphics, customizable (purple!) plane options, but with all the bugs.... It's been dropped down to 1/5. I've had to reload my browser about ten times--without having launched my plane backward. One of my reloads saw my saved game deleted mysteriously, and I just collected 242 stars on a single run---but cannot get any in-game achievements (incl. the 20 stars). I have almost all of the plane upgrades maxed, am starting on the bonuses, am near the final map, and I don't have one single achievement? Armor should have debugged this before releasing it, but as it stands, I'm wondering if the Devs beta'ed it at all...
So a letter asking Santa for a kid's parents turns into a notice the world is ending??? Man they must be some evil parents. I'm thinking liches or zombie kings, perhaps mad scientists cryofrozen who will revive an army of super secret ninja monkey warriors.
As noted by Iconian, the steering upgrade is useless. If it were actually functional, this game would be entertaining, but as it is, sliding around hoping to achieve the level goals is lackluster. Could be a great game though.
Rated 3/5 because it was more monotonous than anything, but dropped that down to 2/5 due to the first boss (Picici) lvl and that stupid darkening of the screen. Mouse clicks are hit or miss as it is, more often not registering than registering. Annoyance factors increase because the unit options are small and close together, making it super easy to accidentally dismiss units. The screen darkening just made this worse, and the sad thing is, it could be a fun game...
I have to agree with the general consensus, this isn't as fun as the sequel. (Though I still think you went a bit overboard with training and item stats in Strike Force Kitty 2). This just feels like it's missing something, and the stamina bar is a pain in the ... Given the limited availability for items that boost stamina and the equally limited milk bottles, the depletion level is a bit too much.
Game is terrible on a Chromebook. The WSAD/key movement is difficult due to the keyboard size. This could be a great mouse-based game (for movement), even if you kept the attack/skill buttons as keys, but as it stands, it's pretty much unplayable because there are too many enemies (which a horde on level 1????--without the ability to purchase upgrades, outrun them [or out roll] to get item drops???? --really?). It looks like you've tried to include too much too soon and didn't take the time to think about the tech your players would be using. 1/5 with a capacity of 5/5.
One of the best physics games I've seen. Not only is this simply a nice game with great graphics, the physics engine mimics real life trajectories, which makes it easy to plot out a cause/effect whereas a lot of physics games have nice a/v but really poor engines. The timed bombs add a bit more fun! Thanks!
I've played a number of very similar games and this one has the worst tutorial/help/instructions I've ever seen. It's a real shame because it has the potential to be a great game. 1/5 because I can't figure out how to open the effing shop.
