1) Why can't I have keyboard controls? 2) Shooting doesn't seem to work out of the box. 3) Should be Driver of the Year, not Rider 4) It's R.I.P., not R.Y., unless that means Rider of the Year, which doesn't make any sense, since a) you are not yet Rider of the Year until you win, and b) it should be Driver. 5) Controls are not good. 6) Intro is too long. 7) I really hate the controls.
Er, it needs to ease you in. I had no idea what was going on when it started, and just died. And after I died, I didn't know how to restart. I seem to just be stuck on the game over screen.
Gave the game another try after the fix.
Remaining comments:
1) As another commenter stated, Level 11 is a bit too difficult. Around wave, um I think 10ish, maybe 8 maybe 12, it becomes to hard to build up enough defense to handle chargers with the money we've made so far.
2) I think the strategy should be more flexible. I did a lot better when I realized that the hero was the only way to beat the giants. I'm more of a passive defense fan TD games, so I had focused my upgrades on the towers. Bad idea. The hero just needs to be maxed out. I don't like that pigeonholing. A way to fix this is just to lower giant HP a bit, and also lower the hero's damage, or raise the tower damage and little enemy HP.
3) targeting seems better, but there is still no reason to take arrows at all. A couple cannons and footsoldiers are enough for magic immune baddies, and no tower does enough damage to golems to matter anyway.
Also, Mr. Dev, I think you should be proud to have all these level 50-65 players commenting here. These people play a LOT of games, and know what they are talking about. It'd be good to listen. I, for one, am impressed with the feedback you've given so far. Still, I'd like to hear your thoughts on immune unit targeting. Also, giving something for grinding would really be key, even if it is just 1 upgrade point per run.
I understand the problem with a speedup button. But the other issue with pacing could be fixed, i.e. having like 5 giants on the screen from the last 5 waves as the next wave is being released. One way to fix this would be to make the giants faster (and lower their HP a bit to compensate). Another would be just to give more time between waves.
Considering you can't grind, the difficulty is set too high, starting as early as level 5. As it stands, because I can't grind, I'm tired of trying to play the same levels (6-8 in my case) over and over to get nowhere. I feel like there must be a magic tower placement/upgrade set that I'm not seeing. At this point, I can no longer be arsed and am giving up until some changes are made.
Lecturer is for college only, and usually then is not the general term. When the English is misused in the title of the game, you've got a problem. Change it to teacher.
I know. Let's take the formula used by hundreds of fun bike stunt games, but our twist will be that the physics engine and key responses will be terrible! Also, fat and in China.
The butterflies and sandals, if you have enough, make it so that you can then purchase new ninjas for an obscene amount of coins. So collect 200 sandals and then you are allowed to spend 100k coins to get a new skin. Yes, that is terrible design and shows the dev doesn't have enough confidence that his game is fun enough to replay.
Sure, whatever. I have 4 other games from this series. Go and flag them too.
