@ianthehenry How'd I miss that? >.> Normally I'd be making snide remarks about people failing to read the instructions.. ahem. Savaj, you **** noob! (hypocrisy averted)
v1.4 fixed the problem I was having with the Weapon Master award, however I am still unable to get the Alchemist award despite having achieved a gold rank on all 25 levels. Dunno if anybody else is having that problem or not.. Also, it'd be nice to be able to pan the camera a little bit. Even if just to follow a character as it moves around a planet (currently the camera focus remains stationary where the character began it's turn), though it'd be nice to be able to pan the entire map before measuring a shot. The AI can "see" exactly where to fire to hit me from across the map, every shot. I don't want to be able to pan the map while aiming, it'd just be nice to be able to survey the obstacles in my way before guesstimating the best trajectory. As said before, great game! Can't wait to see a multiplayer ;)
Cucco is hands down the best character for boss kills. Fly over the enemy until they stop looking for you, then land behind them and stab away. If they stop moving and you're overlapping the space they occupy, you can attack them and they cannot attack back (bug, methinks, should probably get looked at.) Also, occasionally the game freezes after winning a level. This has caused me to lose game data twice, and frankly I could care less to play again to try to beat the game. Becomes a bit too repetitive with, what.. 100 levels? and less than ten different maps to load from (closer to 5? I'd guess). Still, a great deal of fun when you first start out.
Absolutely amazing. 5/5 and Fav'd. Very reminiscent of the old Wipeout series :D None of the courses were particularly difficult to beat, but it's really quite amazing what you've done with a flash game. All around, simple fun! I'd love to see a second installation of this, possibly with achievements integrated as the means to unlocking new ships and tracks along a non-linear progression. Also, might be a good idea to organize tracks according to stages, with N tracks per stage, and each stage with it's own unique panorama and textures. Just a few ideas to add more depth and re-playability to an already great game ^_^
@FunkyPear (Nov. 08, 2010 "I'd be up for making a multiplayer version of this game if people are interested. Vote this up if interested") Not only will I vote up, I'll comment. Multiplayer Gravitee Wars is not optional, it is required.. for the betterment of mankind! Think yourself a philanthropologist if it motivates you to develop a multiplayer version :)
Ditto! Same exact thing happened to me. @(zaphodchick, Nov. 06, 2010, "For some reason it won't let me buy the items. I bought the first one (extra hearts) but now that I have enough coins to buy more, it won't let me.")
I don't think the guards should be killable, bud I do think that either a) the "mission" timer needs to go (he's dead, why am I waiting around?) or b) I am given some sort of "lure" ability. Lure guards, or the prey. Otherwise, it's essentially "you have to wait until they find the body, and when they do, because they will, then wait a little bit longer, and then make a break for it."
Great game, though 4/5 for sure! Just think the core gameplay should be tweaked, it's a little.. eh.. well, revolves way too much around standing in one place for way too long. Guards tend to turn around and look at the same wall 10-20 times before they move away long enough for me to make a break for it.
This is without a doubt, the best tower defense I've played in a long time. 5/5 for style and presentation. 5/5 for balanced and progressively challenging game play. 5/5 for ingenuity. The game is looks great, continues to engage me as the levels progress, and continues to introduce new and unique methods to the TD genre. It is not "just another" tower defense game, and for that alone it is amazing -- let alone everything else it has working in it's favor! Instant classic, 5/5 and fav'd.
Completely agree with Zephoman. There should be a "Tavern" where you can retire your heroes while you train up other ones. That way you can have a main party, and still mess around with different builds without losing all of the work invested into your other heroes.
For **** sake, add an autosave! NOW! I just accumulated ~6m gold... then lost it.. twice! The last time because a Kong ad didn't open in a new tab, as they're supposed to. 1/5 because the developers can't add a simple, common feature.
The trick is to reduce the fire to a single flame, then go grab all the coins, then come back and put the rest of the fire out. Haven't lost a level yet, and haven't missed a single coin either.
It would be nice to be able to see my solution at the end of a level, instead it is immediately covered.. Not too big of a deal, though. 4/5 because I love determination puzzles, and I could play Bridges for hours! Only thing that kills the chance at a 5/5 is the color scheme (the red is painful and distracting), and the speed at which the water is animated.. need to slow that down a little bit, please. Also, anybody who is claiming an "alternate" solution that does not work, don't forget that bridges cannot cross each other!
Collected 68 stars, total score 7338 points ^-^ Great concept, and a lot of fun. I found myself returning to levels to complete them in faster time, just to earn more points.. even though I knew they didn't amount to anything ;) 5/5 for being awesome, overall great puzzle game, and I hope to see more!
Congratulations! You completed all 18 levels. Very fun, and it's definitely a lot more than just "War", it has definite strategy, where War is just top decking. 4/5, 5/5 if/when a multiplayer feature is added! ^_^
